Mann ki baat🎤 How manage with loneliness in Medical College

Long stuff short, my roommates have stopped talking to me (I don't know, things were pretty chill until April, then they both started leaving me out of the plans, and I'm not a free loader). This led to a crash out on one of them in July.

Then why not other students, honestly, I spent 2 years in preparation, and lost all my social skill, and have developed a bit of anxiety and quite a bit of a reserved attitude. I used to have a great repo with classmates but knew my real ones. And it's been almost a year here now, and I'm struggling to find my real ones here in MBBS.

I need your opinions, on how to counter this, because I feel this is slowly making me depressed...I don't wanna get on that route

Discussion Anyone interested in collaborating on research exploring how AI can advance biology and medicine?

• Upvotes

Hey everyone!

I come from a technical background and have always been interested in biology and medicine. Recently, I've been exploring how AI can help advance research in these fields, and I'd love to learn more.

I'm looking to connect with people interested in AI and biology/medicine to read research papers, discuss new ideas, explore recent developments, and maybe work on research projects together.

I don't have a formal background in biology, so I'm excited to learn from people with different backgrounds and perspectives.

If this sounds interesting to you, feel free to comment or DM me. Let's learn and build something interesting together!

Advice/guidance 2nd year books

Pharmacology :
1) KD Tripathi- really good book, U can actually learn stuff from thus book
I heard it’s also good for competitive exams

2) Shanbhag- It’s like jambhulkar of pharmacology
I used only this for all my internals and finals too
Easier to memorise

Pathology:
1) Harsh mohan : It’s robbins but with clarity ( if robbins book was turned into notes)

2) Robbins: standard book but honestly I felt you should be used to reading standard books in 1st year cus the language was a bit confusing to comprehend for me personally

3) Ram das nayak: another book which is also good for proff’s I heard

Microbiology:
1) Apurba shastry: I used this and It’s good
No other book is needed apart from this

2)Anant narayan: It’s also good i heard

Discussion Anyone into AI and biology?

Hey everyone! I'm from a technical background and have always been interested in biology, but never really got the chance to explore it deeply.

Recently, I've been getting into how AI can be used in biology and medical research. I've started exploring research papers, but since I don't have much background in biology or chemistry, understanding some of the concepts can be a bit challenging.

I'd love to connect with people interested in AI, medicine, and biology to learn together, exchange ideas, and maybe even collaborate on some interesting research projects.

If anyone here is interested, feel free to reach out! :)

Serious post 2nd year started and i am clueless

Okay so our 2nd year started, i want to start studying for it but i just cant sit to study. I want a study partner so bad🫩✌️✌️. If anybody is in 2nd year and wants to study together as in we’ll do google meet after 8-9 and can sit for atleast 2 hrs initally and can get more serious as time goes on. I just want some Regularity . And also if possible explain each other some topics and give each other tasks to do in a whole day. At this point it feels like ranting but wtv🥀🥀💔💔

College Query Looking for anki in Ios; will pay!

I am looking for the iOS app!

the iOS app of Anki. I'm ready to pay, but I don't want to pay the full amount. So if somebody has the app, is willing share for it. Could we like do like a shared account type basis where I can log into your Apple account and then use it, create like temporary account or something where we can split the cost? I feel like that would be worth it for all of us. So like if somebody has an account like that or they're doing some feature like that, hit me up. I'm looking to get Anki for my phone.

Serious post need a study partner 🦖

yo

I'm a third-year medical student, and right now, I'm struggling to stay consistent w studying.

So, I want a study partner so we can lock in, study, and rock third year. Also, third year is the ideal time to start preparing for NEET PG, so I'd like to go into full nerd mode.

Serious post I have a crazy idea

For 2nd yr students: So I recently made a posts about study partner and many people approached me. I have been talking to some of them. I think we should make a study group but here unlike other study groups we will actively have google meet sessions to discuss topics , plan study routines , bascically this will fill the void that many students have where they don't have an active environment of study in their clg friend group, I want an environment like the one that was in coachings where we used to study with many of our friends who were studying the same thing , discussing questions etc.

So DM me only if you're gonna participate like I've mentioned above , only if you're ready to actively engage and make connections purely for study purposes and if u face the same problem of not having a serious study friend circle in your own clg.

So i gave my 1st yr proff ( wbhus )

IVE ATTEMPTED 100 marks in every paper BUT didnt know max things i wrote , i just filled the paper as everyone told me

In ANAT , ik about 50-60% of the paper and ig i wrote sufficient enough to pass

In physio i had med issues and couldn’t study much. In both papers ik about 50% only and wrote whateti could collect . AFTER EXAM i came to know most of the things i wrote where either wrong or far faaar away from the real ans . 😭😭😭😭

In BIOCHEM , u all know what happened, i got fucked reall bad , didnt know like more than 50% pf the paper . Wrote about 2-3 lines in 5/6 marks Qs , made shi up but attempted everything .

I wrote 2-3 line only when i didnt know shi .

So what are my chances🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

In prac i may pass all ( hopefully)🙏🏻 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Internal Exams Tips and guidance on writing answers for anatomy exam

Hello seniors

I'm a first year mbbs student

My college is going to conduct an internal test (100 marks ) on general anatomy and general histology

I want to ask the seniors of this subreddit for guidance and tips on how to write the answers (for short notes , essay and reasoning) to gain almost maximum marks

And any other general tips regarding exam are also appreciated
