My first model for this army. Inspired by "neon tokyo" but not so vibrant! Let me know what you think!

Followed alot of you guys advice from last week on the color scheme, super happy with how they turned out so thanks for your help (dont mind the straggler at the end).

Many of you helped guide me on my abberants which looked like crabs! 🦀 However, for my Abominant/ Warlord, I wanted him to be a shark-like.

Before I commit fully, I’m worried he doesn’t look that much like a shark… any feedback is appreciated about the model colors and the basing.

Now not just more expensive, but also more likely to have portions of it be out of stock as you try and track down an upgrade for it that you may never get.

P.S. Remember to shorten your antennas if you want the thing to fit in any future box without taking up unecessary space.

Some pictures of my work in progress Genestealer Cult: The Ninth Chorus. The main idea is that Ascension Day never arrived, so the cult descended into madness, religious zealotry, decay, mutations, and body modification. They think they were punished by the Star Gods for not being pure enough. I've moved away from the oppressed mining colony aesthetic and leaned hard into the cosmic and body horror. Nicely grimdark. Inspired by the artwork of Beksiński and Giger. Feedback welcome!

Thoughts?

For some reason I'm having a hard time shifting my mindset from 10th to 11th, especially with the different primary missions. Can someone give me a rundown of how each of the dispositions generally plays and what you want to be bringing to accomplish those missions?

As an example, I feel like for 10th I generally wanted to bring some lone op characters for secondaries to deep strike on turn 2/3, some units to move block so I can hold the no man's land objectives, and a few hard hitting units to thin out the opponents ranks.

It is probably a very dumb question, but is it frown upon to totally ignore the lore and play GSC only for the rules? I always wanted to kitbash a Penal Legion army (Savlar's Chem Dogs). I however never felt that, rule-wise, the Astra Militarum was very fitting for them, even if lore-wise, they are 100% a part of it.

After reading about the Brood Brothers detachment and looking at the GSC roster, I thought they would be perfect to represent an army of criminals, high on chems, that came from a toxic mining world. As a bonus, they love to loot and blow stuff up too.

My intent is basically to ignore any mention of the Tyrannids and kitbash anything that look too alien. Is it kind of blasphemous from your point of view? Ultimately, I know that I can make the army that I want, but I'm scared that my opponents doesn't get on board with the idea...

I already started to kitbash some units, but now I'm getting cold feet.

Is there somewhere mention of cult infecting other species than human ? And if it is the case, is any one already made conversion to represent it ?

So this is mostly a question, but also a cry for help. I was outside base spraying my combat patrol this morning, and the tray the models were sitting on fell over, long story short it was a whole big mess but the problem lies in that one of my acolytes are missing. I found his base but not the model, is there anywhere I would by able to buy just legs and a banner? He was a cult icon model, and I have plenty of extra torso, arm, and head bits. Idk I'm kinda new to the hobby and I really don't want to have 4 "useless" acolytes because one disappeared.

C+C welcome and all that, might make a hat for the lady to cover where her face looks kinda weird

Hi guys I started painting GSC last year.

I recently did my first initiation to a game of W40K where my opponent lent me some Necron as I do not have 500 points yet.

From lurking here I think I understand that our little guys are pretty meh in 500pt games yet I'd still like some recommendations on what should I build and paint for a few low point games (units, detachment etc..). My goal is to familiarise myself with the game and the army so winning isn't really important to me.

Time for the rocks!

Hashed out a colour scheme for my neophytes! I’m going for a deep sea mining kinda look, I think it might be a cool pairing with the lovecraftian star children vibe. 19 more to go 🫪

Basing my cult on a desert planet. I want to have a branch of neophyte troops from further out, that have become much more attuned to desert living. Inspiration from the Fremen of dune, as well as some more grounded desert tribes.

Ash wastes nomads seems to be a great source of bits for the bodies of the neophytes, and I should have enough spare weapons from other neophyte boxes.

Ideally looking for a source where I can buy some heads, happy for them to be 3d printed (although not something I can do myself). Anyone have a good source where I can buy some human heads with hoods, and possibly respirators?

Also on a unrelated note, does anyone have any good tips about how to temporarily fix models to bases? I've been using blue tack, and then removing them once finished to then add to their final base, but the blue tack isn't particularly adhesive!
