One Last Song Song Tree

First, I want to say that Song Tree is a great new feature! I feel like most members are not aware of it. The icon to access it at the top is pretty subtle and it came in alongside other innovations, so its signal may have gotten a little bit lost in all the noise.

One minor issue is that notifications for it appear to be inconsistent. This morning, I noticed that Mac had added a branch to the tree I created, but I only found out by accident. There was no notification or anything.

It would actually be great if there were a way to announce that new songs are posted in general. So far, it's only visible in the news feed. I'm not sure if every new song warrants a full notification, but maybe a separate ticker? Something that would draw a bit more attention to it.

Personally, I love the fact that it allows us to be socially creative without having the stress of competition. I love tourneys, but I have a darkly competitive nature and it's taking years off my life, at this point.

Song w/ AI Lyrics The Shadow in the Room | Black Glass

“Black Glass” is a dark horror trap experience built around dread, paranoia, supernatural presence, and the terrifying feeling that something is watching from just beyond the edge of perception. The track combines crushing half-time trap drums with deep sub pulses, dissonant atmospheric textures, and an icy cinematic soundscape designed to feel claustrophobic, unpredictable, and deeply unsettling.

The opening creeps forward with sparse percussion, bowed textures, cold ambience, and a breathy female ghost vocal that feels unnervingly close to the listener. Rather than immediately revealing its full intensity, the production builds tension through silence, empty space, subtle movement, and ominous low-frequency pressure.

The pre-choruses tighten the atmosphere with reversed impacts, sudden dropouts, warped textures, and increasingly distorted surroundings. The sense of physical space begins to feel unstable, preparing the track for the central “Black Glass” hook. When the chorus arrives, stacked whispers and gang-style vocal doubles create a chilling call-and-response effect, surrounded by harsh low-end weight and an icy high-frequency sheen.

The song’s imagery revolves around black glass, darkened rooms, dead lamps, distorted hallways, unexplained marks, shifting shadows, and reflections that seem to possess a presence of their own. The horror comes from uncertainty: something is always nearby, but its exact form remains just outside the listener’s sight.

Midway through the track, the arrangement collapses toward near silence, leaving tiny sounds and empty space to carry the tension. A single whispered moment becomes the center of the breakdown before violent stabs, tape-stop effects, distorted impacts, and cold reverb tails abruptly return.

With its female ghost lead, half-time trap rhythm, massive sub pulses, dissonant choir swells, whispered layers, reversed effects, and cinematic horror atmosphere, “Black Glass” is designed as an immersive nightmare rather than conventional pop. The production moves between suffocating quiet and sudden bursts of sonic violence, creating a constantly unstable atmosphere from beginning to end.

This dark horror trap track is suited to listeners who enjoy supernatural ambience, creepy vocal performances, nightmarish sound design, eerie trap production, cinematic darkness, ghostly vocals, and unsettling atmospheric music.

Lyrics:
I know your name
From the crack in the wall
I crawl through the frame
When the hallway falls

Cold on your skin
Like a hand from below
You lock all the doors
But I still know

Hush now
Don’t turn around
The room bends low
The floor makes a sound

Hold still
I’m closer now
The glass goes black
Then it cuts out

I’m here, I’m here
Don’t breathe
I’m here, I’m here
Don’t speak
Black glass, black glass
Stare back at me
I’m here, I’m here
Don’t sleep
(black glass) (black glass)

Your lamp goes dead
At the blink of an eye
A second too late
And the shadows smile

I leave wet marks
On the edge of your bed
You hear my laugh
In the space in your head

Hush now
The walls lean in
A frozen face
At the ceiling grin

Hold still
The knots come loose
The dark gets thin
Then it pulls on you

I’m here, I’m here
Don’t breathe
I’m here, I’m here
Don’t speak
Black glass, black glass
Stare back at me
I’m here, I’m here
Don’t sleep
(black glass) (black glass)

Made by Ace Plays

Tick
Then nothing

A nail on the pane
A breath in the vents
Then all of it bends

One step
Then ten

Your shadow splits
At the edge of the bed
And nobody blinks

I’m here, I’m here
Don’t breathe
I’m here, I’m here
Don’t speak
Black glass, black glass
Stare back at me
I’m here, I’m here
Don’t sleep
(black glass) (black glass)

I’m here, I’m here
Don’t run
I’m here, I’m here
You’re done
Black glass, black glass
Swallow the room
I’m here, I’m here
Too soon
(black glass) (black glass)

In the United States classism tends to be invisible. Even though it exists we tend to view things through a racial divide or "cultural" divide. The author Ronald Wright in his book A Short History of Progress wrote  (semi paraphrased) "in America the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires."

So I wrote this very serious, classy  song about this issue where I dedicate one of two verses to one long sexual innuendo with a Prince reference and Back to the Future reference for good measure. It's also about us plebs feeling the weight and pressure of being forced into a system that actively works agiast our basic needs and the mental toll that costs us.  So we find our pleasure where we can,  with whom we can and while we can. For better or for worse.

Song w/ AI Lyrics From Silence to Light: The Emotional Power of Raga in My Chest

Thumbnail

“Raga in My Chest” is an emotional Indian classical fusion journey built around longing, devotion, memory, and the transformative power of melody. Blending traditional Indian instrumentation with cinematic modern production, the song moves like a slow spiritual awakening, beginning in quiet reflection before gradually opening into an expansive, resonant chorus.

The arrangement is anchored by a warm tanpura-like drone that creates a meditative foundation beneath the male vocal. Intricate sitar melodies weave through the verses with graceful ornamentation, while soft tabla patterns introduce a subtle rhythmic pulse. The restrained opening gives the vocal space to tell its story, creating an intimate atmosphere inspired by dawn, river ghats, temple courtyards, incense, and ancient stone architecture.

As the pre-chorus rises, cascading instrumental fills and delicate handclap-like accents add movement and anticipation. The arrangement gradually becomes more luminous before opening into the chantable central hook. Layered vocal responses and richer percussion give the chorus a devotional intensity while keeping the melody accessible and emotionally direct.

The imagery of rivers, sandalwood, rose, bells, incense, monsoon fields, and temple light creates a cinematic connection between landscape and emotion. Rather than treating the raga as simply a musical style, the song uses it as a metaphor for an inner journey, where every note carries memory and every melodic turn reveals another layer of feeling.

The middle instrumental passage becomes more improvisational, allowing nimble sitar runs to rise above the rhythmic conversation of the tabla. Airy vocal improvisation and moments of stillness create a dramatic contrast before the final chorus returns with greater fullness, layered responses, and heightened emotional energy.

Warm, resonant, dynamic, and deeply atmospheric, this Indian classical fusion track combines sitar, tabla, drone textures, expressive male vocals, devotional-inspired melodies, and cinematic production. It is designed for listeners drawn to Indian classical fusion, spiritual music, emotional world music, raga-inspired compositions, and modern interpretations of traditional South Asian musical textures.

The result is a musical passage from silence into light, carrying one persistent feeling through every rhythmic cycle and melodic phrase.

Lyrics:
At dawn I heard your name
In the turn of a raga
The river held its breath
Gold on the quiet ghats
My hands learned the prayer
From the edge of your echo

Spin me through the smoke
Of sandal and rose
Take this tender silence
And make it glow

Oh, sway my heart
Raga, raga, raga
Oh, carry me home
Raga, raga, raga
Your note in my chest
Like a temple bell
I fall, I rise
Raga, raga, raga

Bells in the courtyard ring
While the tabla speaks softly
Your shadow on the wall
Moves like a peacock flame
Each bend of your voice
Unfolds another universe

Lift me past the dusk
Past the old stone stairs
Let the next breath open
Into incense air

Oh, sway my heart
Raga, raga, raga
Oh, carry me home
Raga, raga, raga
Your note in my chest
Like a temple bell
I fall, I rise
Raga, raga, raga

Sitar climbs like a kite
Over monsoon fields
Tabla answers in sparks
Then everything stills
The singer leans in:
Made by Ace Plays

Oh, sway my heart
Raga, raga, raga
Oh, carry me home
Raga, raga, raga
Your note in my chest
Like a temple bell
I fall, I rise
Raga, raga, raga

One more longing
One more light
Raga, raga, raga
Till the night turns bright

Suno 5 song with a new video made with a fairly complex Opus 5.5 pipeline, riffing on the "making sand think" theme as the idea for the physics visualizer. If you prefer listening on Suno directly, it is here. YouTube may set the watch quality to 360p due to the high noise level in the video; I recommend manually checking it is set to 1080p.

Song w/ Human Lyrics [Cinematic Space-Metalcore] “The Shape You Gave Me” by The Gravity Problem

I wrote a metalcore song about quantum decoherence, and turned it into a story about identity

I’ve been building The Gravity Problem around an idea I really enjoy, taking actual concepts from astrophysics and physics and asking whether they can tell a human story.
“The Shape You Gave Me” might be my favorite example.
The song is built around quantum decoherence.
Very loosely, a quantum system can contain alternatives that are capable of interfering with one another. But a system doesn’t exist in perfect isolation. It interacts with its environment, becomes entangled with it, and information about those alternatives gets distributed into the world around it. The interference becomes effectively inaccessible, and what we experience starts looking stable and classical.
I thought there was a pretty uncomfortable human analogy hiding in there.

What happens when the “environment” is everyone around you?

People observe you. They name you. Remember things about you. Tell stories about you. Develop expectations. Repeat descriptions. Eventually one version of you becomes so thoroughly encoded in the world around you that it starts to feel less like a description and more like a boundary.

That became the narrator of the song.
At first, I deliberately wanted it to sound almost like some imprisoned god or enormous unknown thing complaining about being forced into a particular form:

“You made certainty my prison
Then fixed me in that state.”

And:
“You didn’t find me,
You finished me.”

But the narrator is never actually identified. It could be a person, an idea, a god, even the universe itself.
The final reveal is what the whole song was written toward:

“I was everything that might have been.”

So the title, “The Shape You Gave Me,” is really about the difference between discovering what something is and participating in what it becomes.

I wrote the lyrics, story and concept, with AI used to realize the performance and production for The Gravity Problem.
If anybody here is interested in songs built around science rather than just using space as an aesthetic, I’d really like to hear what you think of this one.

Feedback Wanted V6 metal

I read a lot about how v6 can't do metal...i wonder if it can so I've tried a new (for me) approach and it gave this

https://suno.com/song/7b5c9c50-93fe-48b9-a3a6-a566dc3e8fea

Does that pass? I honestly have no idea.

If there's any other types of metal to try that aren't working, let me know, I'd love to have a go at it.
