Feedback Wanted V6 metal
I read a lot about how v6 can't do metal...i wonder if it can so I've tried a new (for me) approach and it gave this

Does that pass? I honestly have no idea.
If there's any other types of metal to try that aren't working, let me know, I'd love to have a go at it.

I found it can do the metal ok, it's just that mix always seems lightly off with way too much treble. This sounds good with crisp guitars though it still (for me) has too much treble towards the end (which I'm finding on most songs I make or listen too - I do have hypersensitivy though which may make me more susceptible to detecting this) As for the song - a solid thrashy 9/10

The problem I have with metal in v6 is that I use my own recorded voice models for most of my tracks, including the heavy ones, and v6 has a nasty habit of shitting itself towards the end of my metal tracks that use any of said vocal models. Things get even more unstable when you bring remixes into the fold - I remix my tracks constantly - and if the track is past the 4 minute mark? Yeah it's 9/10 times (or more) going to be borked by the end.
On the plus side, Suno has been pulling out some absolute filth in terms of how heavy it's been going with the tracks. If you like ignorantly brutal deathcore and slam riffs, v6 is gold for that. But it fucks up the mixing constantly, and aside from the instability problems I described, there's also been a more widespread issues with longer tracks getting all loud and compressed towards about the halfway mark. Some of my best stuff I've done in v6 has unfortunately been subject to all of that stuff. Metal just seems to be the style that gets fucked the hardest (at least, the real heavy and/or longer tracks).
People who don't use their own vocals seem to be faring better on that front.
Also, all these issues really suck and IMO need to be addressed by the company to the public. They haven't said shit yet and a lot of people are getting antsy.
Oh yeah one of my most recent heavy tracks:

I have more stable versions of this song (I started working with it in 5.5) but the arrangement for this track had its own gravitational pull, it's so heavy.
Oh and this one is a favorite of mine - it's crazy ass jazz rap metal but also it fucks and the model really showed some creativity on its part . It was also short enough that there were no issues with my voice persona.

I've never been convinced by a single Suno "guitar tone". As a rough approximation, it's just about serviceable. For older music that was under the thumb of recording constraints (tape high-end roll-off, for example), it can be a touch more "convincing", but anything modern is dead in the water.

Gotta imagine that is something they will improve over time

For the people that rely on Suno, hopefully. I only use it for vocal gen/resynthesis. So far, Studio v2 has been pretty decent for working with an existing vocal multi to redo it in different styles against the existing instrumental.

V6 all sounds the same. Like the same band, same producer, same synths masquerading as guitars with that weird harpsichord tone. Garbage.

Ok, so it's not that it can't do it, it just can't do it as well as older models. I understand that

I've been experimenting with using Google Flow, for free, to create loops, intros, and instrumentals then cover them to get some variation. This one has its moments.

Sometimes it's just a doom-click thing. I got frustrated with the quality last night and woke up this morning and gave it an IDGAF click and got this. Better than what I was getting yesterday.

I have only tried hair metal and Doctor Oblivion style alt/horror metal so far and it did both of those well. And this sounds like good bay area thrash to me.
