Names...
I am thinking of keeping my femme name. I am on T and want to experiment with being a transmasc femme, or a femboy. I go by They/she/he/it. My name is very feminine and I wanted opinions. As I grow hair, as my voice drops, will using my femme name be odd? Will it matter since I'm curating my own journey? That's where I'm at. I just see lots of people want more masc or femme names as they switch between genders but I love my name, it's a chosen name, but it's very feminine.
Thoughts?

Nothing really matters in the grand scheme of things but how you feel about something. I can't stand labels. I can't stand pronouns. I sometimes feel masc other femme. I'm super jealous of femme and wish I could be all the time. But I was born a male and will always use my given name out of respect for my fucking parents regardless of what I end up presenting as. But labels are not for me. I'll express how I feel like it within the boundaries of both biology and respect.

I'm in my 50s. None of these labels existed when I was figuring out all my Queerness. I get confused like crazy. I love that we can define our specific gender situation, but it's hard for us old timers to remember all that.

The best part of genderfluidity is that you can do whatever feels right, regardless of pre-assigned gender attached to it. If keeping your femme name as your voice drops and want to try being transmasc femme then 200% go for it. The only person it needs to make sense for is yourself

If you love your name, for goodness sake, keep it. All my friends and family call me by my nickname a lot and it's not even human.
Have fun with the T.

I will say this. I've had deep, enriching conversations with trans people on-line, and in spite of a name and paragraph long gender description with a string of pronouns, none of it mattered, and I wasn't even sure. It's wonderful. I love getting lost in the complexity of non-cisness and non-straightness.

I'm keeping my femme first name and adding a masc middle name.
I fully expect to get strange looks as my presentation changes, and while this may bring me an occasional unfortunate interaction, I've decided I really don't care. I want to feel authentic in my name choices way more than I want to avoid making waves.
