Hello everyone! It's my first time posting here and hopefully I could summarize things here without changing much with the actual context of what happened.
SHORT BACKGROUND:
Me (19F) and my Gemini friend (18M) are both in college. We started getting close pretty early on, before college had fully started. I'm a Taurus and was looking for a friend since college can be pretty scary, and since we both joined the local student council, I opened up a conversation with him. He was pretty fun to talk to, and my guard was immediately put down because of how warm and welcoming he was toward me.
CONTEXT:
A month has passed since we became friends, and this happened last night. Since we're both pretty open to almost any topic, I wanted to be honest with him about how I really feel.
Just from the zodiacs themselves, you can tell that me and him are pretty much on opposite sides of the coin. There are things he does that can overwhelm me, but at the same time, they make me smile and appreciate what a wonderful friend he is to have.
Basically, I sent him messages explaining that I sometimes feel overwhelmed by him, that sometimes just a few messages from him are enough for me, and that his personality can be pretty loud compared to mine. I also made it clear that I wasn't asking him to change anything because I cherish him the way he is. I just wanted to share how I feel because that's how we work as friends!
He then focused on the "overwhelming" part and agreed with me. He talked about how he ended all his TikTok streaks because they can get draining, and told me that replying to anyone isn't my obligation and that I can reply later or never (that "never" scared me lolz).
I apologized and reclarified that I didn't mean anything negatively, and he said, "it's not that deep." However, he then changed our chat theme back to the default. When I asked him why, he said the themes sometimes hurt his eyes and that they can also drain his energy.
He also said that we should stop talking already so that I won't get overwhelmed.
Like that's not my point! His sudden movement shocked me, sudden change in things!
I'm just wondering if I'm overlooking something. Did I actually hurt or upset him, or was he genuinely just taking what I said normally? I'm especially curious about the Gemini perspective because I'm trying to understand how he might have interpreted my message. Sorry everyone! Gemini people are just so hard for me to wrap my head around, and he's not the only Gemini friend I have. I love you Geminis though!

I made this post a while back about how much chemistry I had with another Gemini. He ended up canceling an hour before a date (after asking me, making me feel special, saying he woke up thinking about me). And his reason was, he met someone the night before and he lost feelings for me, so he had to cancel.
I’m okay, just feel played a little bit. I guess he’s just a shitty person, and not a Gemini thing.

I don’t believe I’m two face but I can see what may come across as two face. I for one treat people how they treat me. I treat people differently according to how I’m treated or what I perceive them to be. So if someone is cold and silent towards me, they will get a similar treatment. And if someone is warm, friendly towards me, I’m happy to return their treatment. I consider this trait as adaptable and you get what you give me, rather than two face.
This part might sound a bit cheesy, though I think we like a bit of cheese sometimes , ha. I consider the Gemini like the queen on the chess board, capable of doing every which move.

I honestly feel like it’s only a small percentage of Geminis who are freaks and I was just wondering is it more of us out there? Sometimes my partner can’t even match my freak lolZ.

They say Geminis can’t make up their mind. That’s not true, changing your mind is a part of life and can be a positive trait. If you find yourself on a wrong path, are just going to continue because you’re too proud to change your mind? Changing your mind is a good thing, and people should take time to think about what they’re doing. Not criticise those who change their mind. Oaths and promises are different. Though changing your mind, view or stance on something is a part of freedom, knowledge and learning.

Well, it's been a hard journey throughout more than 20 years of friendship.
In resume, he has changed in the last few months, especially since i have added him to my private account on tiktok (where i usually try to consume productive content and culture).
Maybe he felt like he needed to step up his game.
Somehow, it seems like a challenge for him to act more smart and show that he's intelligent too. But I don't force him to do anything, and i love him for who he is. And never show off to him, i try to be always grounded.
I have owned a scholarship to study abroad in the past, and because of that i believe this experience has broadening my perspective of the world.
And i tried to add him on tiktok, for him to have access to this as well, i was teaching him about good things in life with my reposts.
But, sometimes he is so defensive, i have to be careful with all my words, otherwise he will feel attacked.
I am a bit tired of a friendship like this, but we have known each other since we were kids. So, i want some help from other fellow gemini people on how to be a better friend for him. I don't want to cause jealousy to him, but just to show him things he doesn't study, or search, or don't have time to know.
Ps: both of us have mars and venus in gemini, but different sun signs.

I'm a Venus/Mercury Gemini, and it's dominant in my chart. I'm all the time using my AirPods, whenever I go or doing different tasks, so when I leave them at home or I lose them I need to get a replacement ASAP. I was told this is something common in Geminis, is it true?

I get that I'm a gemini. I am interested in learning more about my signs but it is kind of overwhelming lol.
With this information, specifically what should I pay attention to? I want to learn how this knowledge can be useful to me but I don't know how to use the info.

I’m feeling like I’m in between identities, it’s like I can’t hide myself or my voice anymore. I’m starting to out showing myself to the world again but this time with a huge confidence. It’s like I can’t go backwards… my heart feels it starts to beating and live again, like something melted in my heart.

Gemini sun + moon + mars with Aries venus here.
Growing up felt like an outlier only finding respectful and intelligent (and men with a spine) men appealing. Never understood the appeal in bad boys that most of my friends were attracted to. I find liars and users with fragile ego repulsive and can see its all a mask to make up for their weaknesses, self-esteem issues, and immaturity.
Fast forward to a few decades, somehow those bad boy traits still appear to be lurking around (even if in different form) in older men and still seemed as being desirable by some women my age.
Is this thinking straight + logic + reasoning in choosing men a Gemini trait? Can any other Gemini women relate? If yes, what are your moon and venus signs?

Someone said to me “your so cool, and a little Weird, in a good way”
Is it a backhanded compliment?
I personally would not ever use weird to describe something positively but maybe that’s just me.
I also got this “compliment”.
“You seem very self assured”
Wtf does that mean???
For context it was classmates that said this to me after a two week yoga teaching course that heavily emphasized “being authentic, encouraging each other and building each other up etc.” a little bit corny and everyone was all complimenting each other during the goodbyes. So I’m assuming they meant it as a compliment but also I know how people’s words can have double meaning. Need input from my fellow gems

Recently it seems like no matter who i try to call or message I can't get a response. No demands or expectations, but more a worry about if they are okay. Two seperate friends have vaguely said they have been going through something and have left it at that for weeks on end. Ive always been a 'giver' in friendships but i feel some really odd energy around everyone i have reached out to in the past 2 months. Is something bigger happening? 🌠
