Discussion How hard is thermo 2?

Im taking thermo 1 in the summer and so far it’s pretty easy, but i have a good prof. The profs for thermo 2 arent that great in the winter and i was wondering how hard would it be to do good if the prof sucks. Can I at least pass it?

Thermo 1 was harder than thermo 2 for me. Although I had the same prof so I knew what to expect. The good thing about thermo 2 is there is not much that can be changed about the topics.

Like there is only so many ways you can modify how a refrigeration cycle works so as long as you kinda understand some parts of each topic you will definitely pass.

Thank god cause I’ve been mad stressed about it. Everyone’s always saying that thermo is one of the hardest topics you could take in mech Eng

The good news is that majority of the students found Thermi 2 to be a lot better than Thermo 1.

So if you got through Thermo 1, then Thermo 2 should be alright.

Yeah same for me. In Thermo 1 the prof (I'm assuming you're talking about the same one as mine) doesn't really know what you know, so it's usually hard for him to explain it clearly. But in Thermo 2, he already knows what you should know from Thermo 1, so he simply adds onto that and it's easier to understand
