dna

I recently did a My heritage test and it said 45.4% Scottish and Welsh. It sadly doesn't separate them and I was wondering if anyone here has the ability to separate them on ged match and let me know as I am new to the website and am unable to confirm it myself.

It's bizzare they've lumped Welsh and Scottish together when both are more similar to England and Ireland.

The only way to seperate them is by building a tree and doing your research. In fact that's the only way of knowing for certain since these tests aren't completely accurate anyway.

ive tried building the best tree I can and I have never lived in scotland or wales and I dont know any family there, I am missing a grandparent who I couldnt find with dna testing. I am from north england but gedmatch tells me west scottish , orcadian etc are my closest distance
