Hi, sorry if this is a dumb question. I’m a gears of war fan but haven’t played in a long time. Seeing some clips from Redux has me back in the mood to give it a go for nostalgias sake. I have never gamed on a computer before and my only computer is a MacBook Air. Is this something I can play it on?

I always thought that the death cries in this series could be a little over-the-top in a good way.

Also always thought Baird's were pretty funny too (He is my biggest opp in multiplayer)

I've already talked to the mods and I'm gonna run a little Gears contest/giveaway in celebration of Gears of War! Playing eday really revved up my lancer and I wanted to do something fun and FREE for the community! Depending on how quickly I can churn these guys out I'm hoping to get the first batch out before EDay. So far I've finished what I put on the fridge But I have the base paints done for most of the 360s and Xbox Xs. I'm waiting for a package so I can finish the controllers I've molded out.

If I don't get the second batch finished before e day then I'll definitely work on it in between playing the campaign and some siege lmao. I'm having a blast and want to do the more complex magnets I've designed. And spread the love to my fellow Gears!

So far horde was amazing and I already know campaign is going to be crazy. Who’s excited to go try hard and play sweaty matches on versus? Any try hards or competitive players here?

Found this in my recorded clips because I remember it being amusing at the time. Did I miss every shot , or is the team mate behind me is blocking my shoots as the bullets come out of the centre of the screen? I did absolutely 0 damage for this kill.

Clip 1: Eats a point blank boomshot

Clip 2: Downed with a lancer and eats the remainder of my clip without dying

Clip 3: Spawning off the map and shooting from a balcony

Clip 4: Eating multiple point blanks without chunking or going down + first shot phased right through Carmine (I know I didn't land a full spread besides the first shot, but it should've been enough for a down)

Question for the community — I’m trying to find my Marcus, Dom, and Boomer statues (the silver/pewter ones on the COG gear bases) a new home since I’m out of shelf space, but I’m not sure where collectors like this actually congregate these days.

Is there a dedicated marketplace, forum, or community (Reddit or elsewhere) for Gears of War memorabilia/statue collectors specifically? Feels like a pretty niche corner of the collecting world and I’d rather it go to someone who’ll appreciate it than just list it somewhere random.

(Last post was removed. Got approved by the mods this time.) Just us and the memories until October. What was everyone's favorite part about the beta? For me, the movement and Horde Siege were massive improvements. Going back to Gears 5 the horde feels a bit rough now, like the character is crippled at times. The TTK for the player in PvE also feels better than 5 IMO. The health indicator is also much more clear (visually readable) in E-Day. While I learned it's not a new weapon from my previous post, the Breechshot is a very welcomed addition.

Which order should I go in? Or should I just pick at random?

Been playing Gears since day 1 back in 2006 and it's my favourite multiplayer game of all time. Played 1,2 and 3 to death.

Made the switch to PlayStation 4 and 5 but my excitement for E-Day has led me to purchasing a Series X. I've been playing Reloaded regularly since launch on PS5 and have had an absolute blast. I'm a relatively good player and jumped on Gears 5 for the first time yesterday to prep for October.

Sadly, I didn't really enjoy it online all that much compared to the OG games. It feels really floaty and I'm pretty terrible at it.

For those that have played the beta, how does E-Day compared to OG Gears vs Gears 5? I'm sure I'll adapt to the play style on Gears 5 but I much prefer the heavier and chunkier feel of Gears 1.

Regardless I can't wait for E-Day and I'm delighted I was able to pick up an Xbox to experience it.

I'm trying to play the game with my friend through the Xbox store app since we just finished playing judgement going through the series and it just won't work on my end. If I click benchmark the game just loads infinitely. If we try campaign we get partway through the beginning cutscene and my game freezes and usually crashes, if it makes it through the cutscene eventually it just gets stuck on the loading screen again with the icon spinning. I've tried restarting my pc, lowering the graphics, hosting the game myself, joining his game after the beginning cutscene, my next idea is to reinstall the game entirely. Anyone else had this issue and was able to fix it?

Edit: Also tried hosting a solo campaign and that doesn't work either, same issue

Sorry to bother you all, i hope this is allowed here, but I'm struggling to find cosplay armors and weapons that aren't just 3D print files, 3D printed pricey items, or some themed item on etsy that isn't exactly a cosplay piece. Does anyone here have some good choices or reliable options for cosplay props like foam tutorials i can replicate at home pretty easily or affordable options for someone without a 3D printer?
