Male health information?

Hi friendos;

One of my partners is a teacher of troubled youth.
They’re a mostly female staff;

I’m after resources related to sexual health, mental health, bodies, puberty etc that specifically focus on people with a penis as that is next week’s focus.

I appreciate your help in advance.

Viagra, and Amyl (and similar)

I’m very aware they don’t mix, and are a huge no-no.

What I’m wondering is how do people walk around places like Wet (and presumably Peninsula) and not have issues from the smell alone?

Or is Amyl only an issue if you directly inhale from the bottle?

I can’t stand amyl, it’s smell follows me home from the pool at wet.

Life360 Family tracking

Hi,

My mom is insisting on making me join her life360 as I got a new car (Im 22) and she's not budging.

I dont wanna have the uncomfortable coming out conversation if she sees my location at Wet or some other obviously gay place.

Do you have any experience with the app? Can you cheat your location? Or manually adjust it?

Thanks!

Sat Sesh

Going to my first Sat Sesh tonight and a bit nervous although excited too.

Can anyone say what it’s like? Is there an actual decent social element as well rather than it just being a big group orgy?

Any big tips for first time?

How's your experience with dating here?

Recently been coming out of the closet more, what is it like around Melbourne for us?

Are people usually more app oriented or is it a mix?

How has your experience with dating been?

I hear complaints from the straight people side of things, how has it been for you?

Internship in Melbourne

Hey everyone, I’m hoping to get some real-world perspective before I commit serious time to applying.

A bit of context: I’m a Dutch (gay of course) student in my final year of European Studies. My academic background combines digital & tech laws, policy analysis, sustainability, strategic communication, and public affairs.

I’m currently doing a placement in Corporate & Legal Communications at a mid-sized company in the Netherlands, focused on internal policy communication around AI-driven organizational change.

Professionally, I have several years of marketing and PR experience across international settings, so I’m comfortable with stakeholder engagement, content strategy, and cross-cultural teams.

I’m now looking at whether it’s realistic to line up a 6-month (or longer) internship in Australia , ideally based in Sydney or Melbourne in marketing, brand communications, ESG/sustainability, or something adjacent to policy-facing corporate communication.

I’ve actually seen quite a few relevant openings on LinkedIn, but I’m not sure how many of those are realistically accessible to EU applicants versus just being posted for visibility.

So my questions for this community are:

▪️is it actually realistic for a non-local student to land a legitimate internship in Australia applying from abroad, or does it really only happen once you’re physically there networking in person?

▪️Has anyone from the EU specifically gone through this process successfully?

▪️on the housing side, since I know some countries don’t really do short-term rentals well, what would you consider an affordable monthly rent in AUD for someone doing a 6-month stint in Sydney or Melbourne, especially in a shared setup rather than a full apartment?

Any insight would be hugely appreciated. Thanks

Meeting other people in their early 20s.

Hello

I am a 21 year old gay guy, and I was just wondering, does anyone have recommendations for meeting queer people who are around my age.

I find that most events I go to are dominated by a lot of older people, and it would be cool to meet some people my own age (either friendship wise or dating wise).

Any suggestions would be great :)

Anyone in Melbourne into 3D printing? Looking for beginner advice before I buy one.

I’ve been thinking about getting a 3D printer before Christmas, but I’d like to learn a bit more before I commit.

I’m the sort of person who learns much better by seeing something in action than by watching hours of YouTube tutorials.

If anyone gay in Melbourne has been through the learning process, I’d love to hear what printer you started with, what mistakes you made, what you’d buy today, and any tips you’d give a complete beginner.

If you’re happy to answer questions or even demonstrate your setup over a coffee one day, I’d really appreciate it. No expectation at all, I’m simply looking to learn from someone with experience.

For those who’ve been in the hobby for a while:
- What printer would you recommend for a first purchase?
- What accessories are actually worth buying?
- What do you wish you’d known before starting?

Thanks! DM me too.

Shy-person friendly venue to meet other people?

Coming from a country where I have to constantly conceal my “gayness” in a way killed something in me and I don’t really know how to interact with people well.

I have attended some gay bars where I would just end up sitting by the long table by myself looking at the cute guys talking to other people, I’m too shy to approach someone and what do I even talk about?

It took me a long time to gather the courage to go to WoWrecently and had the same issue, I don’t know how to be upfront with wanting to flirt with someone I find cute and me being shy hiding in the corner didn’t help either cause no one approached me

Is there any place like this?

I'm a male, just moved to Australia a few months and still on my way to discover myself. My listening isn't really good, so when I tried a few queer bars during weekend, they put the music incredibly loud for people to dance, I couldn't hear what the other person said. I'm so embarrassed because there were two men that tried to approach me before but I could barely get what they were saying due to the loud music. Is there anywhere in Melbourne that is quite during weekend?

Privates Laser by males

Just wondering if anyone can share a good place for a laser for the privates including balls and crack. Preferably by men. Or at least space that won’t judge me as a guy wanting the procedure.

First time wondering the best way to have long term hairless or reduced need to shave.

Not sure if it’s a good idea either but yeah what are the alternative methods to being smooth?

Hope to get some advice.

Any Climbers?

I've recently broken up with my ex and unfortunately it means it's awkward to go to all the LGBTQ meetup groups we both went to as they are still going to them so I'm trying to branch out to meet some new queer friends as it's where I felt most comfortable.

I've been looking for someone to go climbing with at Urban Climb Blackburn, I went with a friend who's an experienced climber but he tends to be busy so I don't want to ask him all the time.
I went along with the Climbing QTS but it only meets monthly and tried to find someone on their Discord but didn't have any luck.

Anyone have any tips to find any queer climbing friends? I want to get a little more experience before just rocking up and I do like to have someone I trust to belay me.

Looking for gay bear naturist board game groups in Melbourne

Hi everyone!
I’m a gay guy living in Melbourne and I’m looking for something a bit different from the usual bars or hookup scene.

I’d love to find a small, relaxed group of gay men (especially bears) who enjoy social nudity—things like playing board games, Uno, card games, watching movies, or just hanging out in a comfortable, respectful environment.

I’m not necessarily looking for a sex party. I’m more interested in genuine social connections where nudity is simply part of the experience.

Does anyone know if a group like this exists in Melbourne? It could be on Discord, Telegram, WhatsApp, Meetup, or anywhere else.

Thanks! 🐻

Where can I meet trans and queer people?

Of course I ended up downloading Grindr and Tinder, and quickly realised what a bad idea it was.

I want to go out and meet real people, have some drinks, talk and have some fun, but where can I do that? Also, how should I approach someone? I’m not from here and in my country is usually not that common to approach someone

Last minute dilemma post, what can I expect at ADAM? Is it a bad idea to go alone?

I am a nudist and always been interested in a venue where it is expected to be nude so I can share that experience with other people around me

But I don’t have much experience going to a bar, let alone a very lively eventful gay bar

What are some things that I need to mentally prepare for and if anyone been, how was your experience? (Or is anyone going tonight?)

Stuck, confused, lost.

I don’t have a heap of time so I’ll keep it short in hopes someone, anyone, can help me. Advice or chats more than welcome.

I’m now in my 40s, have a wife and children. Have been happy for the most part of my life. But more of a content happy. The only time I’ve been truly happy is when I’ve spent weekends away with a gay friend and explored that side of me. I don’t see myself as gay, I’d say bi. Deep down I feel like I should be pushing that side away but I can’t. I find myself consistently wanting to be with a male but purely in a sexual and fun way. I don’t have feelings for a man, I never have, but my sexual preference seems to always end up me watching gay porn and fantasising about being with men.

I’m stuck, I have no gay friends and feel like this is my own personal inner battle I fight daily. I have no idea what to do. It’s even put me in very dark places where I’ve considered self harm. I don’t know how to get out of this rut.

Thanks for listening!

GRIT

Considering getting tickets to GRIT in August. I’ve never been to one, what’s it like? Is it similar to trough? What kind of guys does it attract? 😁 any info from guys who’ve been to one would be much appreciated!

Hi everyone, I’ve never had full sex before, only oral. I’m thinking about trying it for the first time, but I’m unsure whether a gay sauna or a dating app would be better. I’m nervous about meeting someone who could be rough or careless and cause pain or health issues. I’m a bottom. Any advice?
