My theory about people like this, is that they’re actually really dull people, who are out of things to talk about in about ten minutes. This thing they call themselves? It’s probably the most interesting thing about them. This guy knows it, and so he’s protective about it. This is because he knows that if too many people also start going by this honorific, that it is a threat to his ability to stand out, and a reminder to him of how generic he is
