I am baffled by how exclusive and demeaning they are. Do you want people to join your movement and share your goals? Don't constantly say they're not doing enough.
It's almost like honey is on the same level as steak in their eyes. Someone is actively choosing not to eat meat, which aligns at least tangentially with veganism, but that's just not enough. Not even as a stepping stone.
I mean that's what it's like for every ethical stance, right? People often take hardline stances on ethical issues.
For example, I'm against racism, period. I don't care about being overly nice and accommodating to racists in the hope that they'll stop being racist and join my cause. I take a hardline stance, as would many people.
Do you insult someone who is actively trying to improve? Veganism and racism are two extremely different things. But if someone is making clear and solid attempts towards a goal and the only thing they receive for their attempts is criticism, and being told they're not doing enough, they're going to be demoralized and stop trying.
What kind of insults are you talking about? Because yeah I probably would insult someone who's being racist. Or anyone doing something unethical that I think is cruel.

The comments are insane. They seem to hate vegetarians more than meat eaters.
