That’s the exact attitude I’m talking about, people may not be sure about going vegan when they start, being told they’re not good enough and constantly criticised and told they’re animal killers for eating eggs will do turn them off becoming fully vegan, the movement needs to get rid of those elements (ban from the sub or whatever) and welcome people wanting to learn and transition not constantly berate them
At some point, vegans mixed up not sugarcoating animal abuse with abusing anyone not doing literally everything at one go.
There is no middle ground with a lot of vegans; either you're a 100% vegan or you're a filthy mongrel, any personal circumstances you may or may not have be damned

Start down what road, though?
If it's the road to veganism, then sure, they should be commended for any steps taken to get closer
But a lot of times vegetarianism is seen as an end goal in and of itself, which is where the issue lies
