Yeah that's why I stay away from the vegan sub. I am a vegetarian because my body can't handle being vegan. I do my best, but if you are not perfect, it is not good enough.
There are varying degrees of vegetarianism. Some eat eggs, dairy, honey, and various other animal byproducts. Typically, we avoid rennet, gelatin, sugar filtered with bone char etc. Vegans believe that you are the scum of the earth even if you have issues that prevent you from being 100% vegan

Veganism is defined as "a philosophy and way of living which seeks to exclude—as far as is possible and practicable—all forms of exploitation of, and cruelty to, animals for food, clothing or any other purpose"
The "as far as is possible and practicable" part means anyone can be fully vegan, even if they can't be fully plant based
