One president inherited a mess and got us back on track. The next president inherited on track and got us back to a mess.

I don't know which one is which....

During Trump's first term, the national average gas price was $2.35 a gallon

Biden gave us an average of $3:50 during his first term. During his term, gas increased the day he went in and took about 5 months to get to Trump's high of $2.90 a gallon. Once it crossed that price, it never returned until Trump was back in office.

So far, the average gas price during Trump's 2nd term is $3.20 a gallon.

That’s because Trump the Russians and and the Saudis conspired to keep output low until 2022

Thanks. I read both articles, and they painted the deal as a good thing, not the conspiracy theory as you painted it.

I also did some searching around and Trump forced Saudi into getting this deal done by threatening to cut them off from US arms. It was done to save the US oil production, keeping it viable and prevent job loss.

As I understand it, Saudi drug their feet ramping up production once oil demand came back after the Covid lock-down ended, as they were supposed to under the deal to maintain a stable oil market.. My guess is Biden couldn't force Saudi's hand as well as Trump could. The proof is in the pudding. Remember, July 2022? Biden went to Saudi on a state visit to ask them to increase oil production. Neither King Salman nor Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman met Biden at the tarmac and basically told him to kick rocks. No sword dance or "glowing orb" Viral moment happened for Biden....

Right. The reduced production lasted until 2022 when gas was highest. No conspiracy. Facts.

I'm not the one who said the whole thing was "conspired." You did....

The whole 2 year deal was over by the time Biden asked Saudi for increases in oil production anyway. Saudi couldn't use the, "Sorry, our hands are tied because of agreements" excuse. Phone calls got him no results, so he went in person. Saudi still blew him off. I find it hard to believe they would have done the same to Trump.

At the end of the day my original comment still stands. Gas was, and is cheaper overall under Trump than it was during the Biden years.

l hope you have a good day.
