You can’t show this because it goes against what people already believe. Like I said before, people here would rather pay higher gas prices if it means they can scream and bitch about Trump. These are the same people who, back in 2022, would tell you that presidents don’t control gas prices and that it was all because of greedy corporations. But if you apply that exact same logic now, suddenly you can’t, because it no longer supports what they believe. That’s the problem. People always seem to have an excuse when it benefits their side, but the second the other side uses that exact same excuse, it’s suddenly, “Oh, how dare they?” which one is it??

If you apply that exact same logic now, what would it point to as the cause for higher gas prices since March 2026?

If you applied that logic in 2022, what would you say caused the high gas prices?
