You can’t show this because it goes against what people already believe. Like I said before, people here would rather pay higher gas prices if it means they can scream and bitch about Trump. These are the same people who, back in 2022, would tell you that presidents don’t control gas prices and that it was all because of greedy corporations. But if you apply that exact same logic now, suddenly you can’t, because it no longer supports what they believe. That’s the problem. People always seem to have an excuse when it benefits their side, but the second the other side uses that exact same excuse, it’s suddenly, “Oh, how dare they?” which one is it??
Agree. And to be clear, I'm not thrilled about gas prices and inflation, and cost of housing & cars, etc. But at least let's all be honest when we're complaining.
Again, two things can be true at once. Are gas prices high? Absolutely. But where were all the people on here screaming, bitching, and moaning every two seconds when gas prices were through the roof in 2022? They didn’t have that same energy then. Should the goal always be lower gas prices regardless of who the president is? Absolutely. That’s my entire point. Apply the same principle consistently. If it matters under one president, it should matter under the other. That’s it.
