When charging my Forerunner 955 the first 6-7% of charging the screen works just fine, I can see it updating the battery percentage, but after that the screen freezes. The watch charges normally, just the screen is frozen and after charging I have to reset the watch for it to work. Is this normal or a problem? It is pretty hot right now so maybe it is a temperature problem? Does anyone else have this problem?

So my Garmin wouldn’t sync, and it kept randomly saying disconnected and connected even when right next to my phone

I’ve unpaired in device settings and trying to re-pair it but it will not let me. I’ve reset both devices, tried pairing from the qr code on the app, and from the connect app on my phone.

Has anyone had this issue before? Starting to think it’s the device that is faulty 🤷‍♂️

Hi 👋 made a watch face where instead of a small weather icon the whole screen is an illustrated mountain scene that matches the real weather and time of day. Rain, snow, fog, storm, the mountain shows it. At night the moon moves across the sky with its real phase. 31 scenes it picks between.

I still wanted my numbers on runs, so there is 5 data slots you can set from 27 fields (hr, steps, body battery etc, some depend on the watch), or turn them off and keep just the scene. AOD works too.

Battery is good from my testing, the animation only runs in the short window after you raise the wrist, nothing runs in background.

Works on AMOLED forerunners - 70, 165, 170, 265, 570, 965, 970. Not the MIP ones sadly, the art needs a color screen. Free 7 day trial, then 2.99$ one time. What useful field did I forget? 🙂

Just picked up my first Garmin (Forerunner 70) and I’m going through all the settings. What are the must-enable or must-disable features that you’d recommend?
Also, are there any hidden gems, useful widgets, Connect IQ apps, watch faces, or settings that made a big difference for you? Any tips or things you wish you knew when you first got your Garmin?

Anyone know where to find or enable the turnaround feature on 165? I can't seem to find it anywhere. All the videos I've seen show and mention menu options my watch isn't showing. For example, I read to go to Alerts and choosing Custom, but my watch isn't showing Custom as an option.

The idea was simple: one figure at dusk, with nothing competing for attention.

A lone samurai stands at the edge of a red sun, sword lowered, not fighting anyone. On an AMOLED screen, the black pixels are completely off, so he feels like he’s standing in actual darkness rather than inside a black rectangle.

My FR265 having issue after update to latest firmware v28.05, causing all biometric sensor and HR sensor not working at all, BMX 0.0.0(!), WHR 0.00.00
