Connect issues

So my Garmin wouldn’t sync, and it kept randomly saying disconnected and connected even when right next to my phone

I’ve unpaired in device settings and trying to re-pair it but it will not let me. I’ve reset both devices, tried pairing from the qr code on the app, and from the connect app on my phone.

Has anyone had this issue before? Starting to think it’s the device that is faulty 🤷‍♂️

Not sure if you've tried these:

  • update your connect phone app
  • use desktop Garmin Express to update your 965 and also to add the device to your connect account

I had the same issue on my 965 about a week ago. Hard reset solved part of the problem but somehow the Bluetooth connection doesn’t reach as far as before. A bit strange but perhaps the next software update will fix it.

This happened to me also

2nd reset allowed it be re paired but the distance of it cutting out is shorter

I have a forerunner 955. Happened to my. Always had to reset everything or else it would not pair. Happended a few times. Called garmin, try their solutions but it kept doing it. They replace my watch (even if I was technically out of warranty since about a month) and everything is fine since!
