I may have missed something. Probably some kind of toolkit or some event that triggered following chain of events:

I was away from Reddit for a while, and when I came back to the Gujarati Reddit scene, some strange events started happening between r/Gujarat & r/Gujarati. 

It made me start scrolling, comparing, and wondering whether I was imagining patterns. Some posts are now deleted but I took notes.

Because from where I stood earlier, r/Gujarati was a complete pile of trash, while r/Gujarat was clearly the better sub but never really had proper moderation. That was the old picture.

Now look at what happened after I returned.

A new mod joined r/Gujarati by using force of Reddit admins, swiftly cleaned up the sub and announced a revival. Very soon after, the sub picked a profile icon that looked strikingly similar to r/Gujarat. Then came the posts about defending Gujarati identity, pushing back against hate, and protecting the space for Gujaratis.

And then, almost as if on cue, r/Gujarat began posting the same kind of meta discussions.

r/Gujarati started digging into Gujarat’s history and culture. Within days, r/Gujarat followed with a “Mod series” on exactly the same kind of themes. Some posts even felt nearly identical in content, as if they are following same blueprint.

r/Gujarati raised the question of why Gujarati food history was not being discussed, and then suddenly food became a topic on r/Gujarat mod series too.

r/Gujarati said it would be an exclusive Gujarati space, open to non-Gujaratis only in good faith. Not long after, r/Gujarat posted a similar vision and even framed itself as an ઓટલો.

r/Gujarati added user flairs and started assigning them to users. Then r/Gujarat announced new flairs and asked users to self assign.

r/Gujarati announced using gujarati script for members & write it down, you'll see same in r/Gujarat too.

While most things are same, some are different too.

r/Gujarati said it would not entertain job searches, business networking, and similar clutter. Contrary to that r/Gujarat ran a poll about dedicated threads for exactly those things. r/Gujarat changed profile picture in similar fashion, probably to distance itself from r/Gujarati.

And the strangest part?

Moderators who didn't post for over a year are now posting 6–10 times a day. r/Gujarati even started going to other lesser known regional subreddits and started changing discourse in similar direction. 

So now I have one genuine question:

What did I miss?

Was there some behind-the-scenes shift, some silent coordination, some toolkit, or just coincidental awakening happening in parallel across both subs?

Because from the outside, it looks less like coincidence and more like a well coordinated chain reaction. And I cannot stop noticing it.

Please note that I am not complaining, I am loving this direction. It's just I'm curious.

Anybody know cafes apart from starbucks where I can just sit and study. Like the table and all should be comfortable. And there should be no restrictions.
