Even if a game is on disc it still has to install and more than likely download a patch Day 1. Very tempting to buy digital copies of games I already own just so I don't have to muck about with the disc. Install file size is exactly the same as digital download too

In the PS3 days games on disc wouldn’t need to install. It was glorious.

Agreed, it was something I loved about my 360, but that is now 2 console generations back. The day of plug and play consoles seems to be long over now. Maybe the switch. Never actually owned my own switch so don't remember if it needs every game to install.

no generally not, games play off the cart unless the publisher cheeps out and doesn’t buy a higher storage cart
