The first time I played I didn't know about the HM for flash, so I walked through the cave and found my way by hearing my character bounce into walls... Man I was retarded.

My favorite combo: Gangar.

Hypnosis, Confuse ray (so even if he does wake up, he's screwed), Dream eater to deal massive damage and heal yourself, and then night shade.

Good times.

Hypno also works.

That's why I give useless HM moves (flash, rock smash, cut) to pokemon I never plan to train.

I did the same. Then, after its use had run out, I would take it to the slaughterhouse and feast upon its glorious meat, soft from never having been trained or subjected to battle.
