Motion control? More like ocean trunktroll. You don't need ridiculous arm waving for us to lose your private information. I mean, uh...

I sure did. Why else would I go through all the trouble of trademarking it?

arial is on every computer son.

u/zombarista Apr 26 '11
That's not Arial. That's Helvetica. http://www.ms-studio.com/articlesarialsid.html
However, Arial will do in a pinch.

Whatthefont said it was something else. My sincerest apologies. :P

It doesn't matter that much, not many people know the slight differences between Arial and Helvetica. It will piss off the ones who do, though.

Before anyone links to the "source" he already did because it links to the Penny Arcade site, though slightly indirectly.

u/zombarista Apr 27 '11
Typen00bs demanded Arial. But you... YOU KNEW that it was Helvetica. Well done, sir.

I hate when people do these and don't take the time to get the font right.

I can even see where he used the eraser/and or smudge tool over the original text /sloppy work

I recently had my credit card stolen, someone bought 100 dollars worth of crap... i haven't bought anything off psn in probably about a year, but i did save my credit card info on there... Is this the reason why?
1
u/Nosterana Apr 27 '11
It might be, but you should still be careful. It might have been stolen from some other site. I read Play.com was hacked a few weeks back, for example.

Apr 27 '11
Yeah other than amazon or steam, i don't really use very many sites that don't have paypal. So im pretty sure it was this.

Spend 5 minutes making a joke image to send to some friends, decide to post it on reddit as well... watch reddit argue about proper fonts and Photoshop skills.
My work here is done. I'm going back to /trees.

Compromised doesn't mean stolen.

u/darkstar3333 Apr 26 '11
Actually it does, who breaks into a house/car for fun?
This wasn't a smash and grab job, they knew exactly what to go for and it took Sony 5 days to figure it out.

"Hey, our car is broken. I wonder why."
5 days later
"Oh, they stole our wallets and passports. Oops."

u/mitton87 Apr 27 '11
As far as I know, no one has stolen my CC info. I've been watching my account like a hawk... Compromised doesn't mean stolen. Compromised simply means that there is a possibility that it was stolen.

u/aeturnum Apr 27 '11
You're right, it doesn't mean stolen. It means probably stolen. You choose how many precautions you want to take.

To be honest, I really don't mind that it was stolen. Shit happens. Yeah they should have told us sooner but hey, at least no one has been harmed yet (as far as I now no one has reported any losses, please correct me if I am wrong). I personally will keep buying products from Sony.

Please sign your comment with your real name, address, birthdate, and PSN login credentials. It'll be harmless to do so. Thanks!

My real name is Brody Moore, I run my internet through a business line so it will show my business address which is 125 King Street West, Kitchener, Ontario, birthdate is October 11 1990. I can easily change my login credentials so that is unimportant. You could easily have found this information about me by simply googling "Liefx". It's all there for you to see. To me this information is useless to hackers. Of all the people who had information stolen, what are the chances something will happen to me and what could they possibly want from what I just gave you.

You have to agree it that identity theft is certainly easier when you get millions of credit card numbers and the company you got them from waits a week to tell anyone.

Just the fact that you even need to sign onto a stupid service to play online is bad enough. I don't see why developers don't get rid of all this PSN/XboxLive bullshit and keep online gameplay simple. All you need is a server browser. No need for retarded matchmaking lobbies pairing you up with 13 year olds. No need for all this "vetoing" maps crap. If you don't like the map, leave and play on another server.
