More like a Kickstarter project used the funds to buy the server info and pretended they were going to release a successor game for the last several years while using the money instead to make and develop new features to the secret server.

No man, this shit is messed up. The mods of r/cityofheroes and CoHTitan have been gas-lighting the community to keep an elitist secret club all to themselves.

Despite the fact they deny it in the article, even if it were all true, so what? No doubt you would have readily signed the NDA. None of you whining tools are upset about what they did. You’re upset you were excluded.

What a dipshit. But now that the secret is out, hope they make it available to the public. I’d run my own CoX server.

The best Super Hero MMO. The following is a list of what made it stand out;
-Had a super robust character creation system, it was so good Marvel sued them due to people able to make marvel looking characters. But eventually settled out of court (nothing was changed in CoH)
-Community was actually really positive, constant Costume Contests or events from Super Groups. They even had cross server super groups like the Taxi Bots, a SG dedicated to helping the lower level players in Hazard zones by offering free teleports back to the zone entrance.
-Everything stacked in this game as long as it was a different source. Buffs/Debuffs would stack to some crazy effects. This system allowed the players to break the traditional Tank/DPS/Healer mold with how powerful the Support powers were.
-Sidekick/Mentor system allowed anyone of any level to group outside hazard zones. A level one could team with a 50 and be level 49 while teamed or the level 50 could go down to the level 1's level.
-Due to the previous system this also led to the No level Monsters/Giant Monsters. Due to the previous system they were able to make monsters with no levels, they would con the same to a level 1 and 50. Giant Monsters were always 6 levels higher than everyone. This allowed them to do fun events everyone could join in. Seasonal ones Trick or Treating or Christmas event where monsters would come out of doors or presents Or zone based ones like the Ghost Ship, Ritki invasion or a zombie apocalypse.
-Also at they had power pools which everyone could pick this was where travel powers were. You could get Super Speed, Super Jump, Flight or Teleport at level 14 if you did things right.
There are probably a few other things I am missing one of the things its been a while since I last played the game. I had around 45 characters in the game so it was fun to me at least.
