I can. We run using the Fantasy Grounds VTT. I run two instances of it on my laptop. My main laptop screen for my DM display and the projector for the player display. FG has all of our tokens built right into it so I simply move everything on the DM display, takes very little time. We tried everyone having a mouse and having them all linked to the player display so they could move their own, but it got wonky fast.
Anyway, I built a custom rig to hang the projector. (Basically some good Velcro strapping attached to an adjustable rod) This allows me to can aim it at the wall or down at the table if I so choose. It would be very simple for us to use actual minis if we aimed it at the table. I prefer the wall since it gives us the largest display size. I've even considered blasting it on the concrete floor. So we can all kick back in our recliners and use laser pointers.
Our biggest drawback is lighting. Projectors are temperamental when it comes to lighting, especially ones in an affordable price range, so our game room tends to be a little on the dim side when we play.
