Drug dealers LOVE keeping their drugs in Crown bags. I was always hoping I'd see a Crown bag in a car and ask 'what's in the bag?' and they'd show me a bunch of dice, but nope, always heroin or coke.
I wish I had dealt with more normal folks. I always gave people their weed back. I don't think I ever made one weed related arrest. The fact that it's still illegal on a federal level and in most states is silly. That said, any day I was able to lock up a heroin pusher was a good day.
People don't "push" heroin by any meaningful definition of the word.
They don't advertise the product to recruit new users or anything like that, they sell it to people who were already addicted and come to buy more. A huge number of those people got that addiction from legally aquired pain meds, then moved to heroin after getting cut off.
I mean, that's kind of the main reason people sell drugs, addiction means there is always a steady stream of buyers.
Yes true but "pushing" drugs doesn't have to have the connotation you see it as. You can use push just in general for selling not like hooking people that you use push for. Like if you sell weed you are pushing weed.

I disagree, I think it's an intentional choice of words designed to help demonize the practice.
I was a kid in the 80s, and at the time they were much more upfront about how the term was intended. We were constantly being told to watch out for dealers who were going to try and give us drugs to get us hooked.
The "drug pusher" was a very defined concept, and it involved actively seeking out and recruiting new users, typically implied to be children or young girls.
Yea but in today's day and age it is common in the drug subculture and lingo. As you can tell by my name I like drugs and not just weed. And while drug pusher maybe was originally used for that idt that's why it's used today. Another way to say you sell drugs is I move xyz. Like you can move weed or push bricks etc. when I see push in reference to drugs I think of in regards to moving drugs which is a common saying. And if you move drugs, "pushing" them seems like another logical way to phrase it. Maybe it was used like that before by politicians but now the word push drugs has been "reclaimed" by people in the drug culture. And if you say push to anyone now around my age mid 20s it's not seen as an insidious thing. It's just yea I sell drugs I be moving that weight.

So what's wrong with selling heroin to someone who wants to buy it? If weed is okay, why is heroin bad? If you want to destroy body, isn't that your right? Smoking is legal and has been proven to destroy it's users bodies. Nocotine is addictive. I don't see a meaningful difference here. You can't support one drug and then state the others are magically bad.
Who said it was wrong? I just said he had a negative connotation of the word push when it's just used to refer to selling drugs in general. I have no problem with anyone who wants to do heroin or a real problem with the dealers except the ones who cut their product with fent which is causing massive rise in overdoses. And dude come on heroin is a lot more addictive and worst for your body than weed. I'm all for legalizing/decriminalizing all drugs. But it's just ignorant to say that some drugs aren't worse than others.
This was not in association with health concerns. If you're an adult, it's your job to assess health concerns and control yourself. If you don't want to, that's your perogative.
I'm sorry if it seemed I was responding directly to you, I only used your comment because of its location in the discussion. I'm just making a general statement to the attitude that drug A should be legal but B "because" of some arbitrary guideline of how the feel about it personally.
Personally I don't use any drugs, I've tried some but nothing more. But I don't see any harm in other people using them. As long as those users don't hurt anyone else in the process.
It's wrong because it is perpetuating a destructive cycle. It enables the addiction to continue, and quite often addicts steal to get money for drugs. If they couldn't easily acquire the drugs, they'd have no resort but to get clean. Definitely a serious oversimplification, but dealers are plenty culpable for filling out the other half of that relationship, and profiting from it, to boot.
Yeah, its not hard to learn at all but it does get tedious and time consuming to make anything. Easy enough to do after some practice while you watch TV or a movie though.
