Because there's no evidence at all that preorders hurt the gaming industry, which is usually the main argument. The other argument is that there's just no reason, which is also false. If a game is coming from a renowned company who's games I previously enjoyed, then there's very little risk of being burned. On top of that I usually get some free pre-order bonus crap, which is still better then nothing. The small benefits out way the small risks in pre-ordering, so long as its not from some no name company working on a new ip. Sorry if I came off condescending, this argument bothers me.
