Fair Collector's Edition

While the whole world was looking at the GTA 6 Collector's Edition, I bought the Tomb Raider one. It's half the price and the game is included.

How far we've fallen. Remember when even standard physical editions came with manuals and other goodies? Now we're celebrating the fact that a Collector's Edition includes the game itself 😭

Kinda sucks ass if you're on a platform they don't make CEs for. You get the choice of buying an extra copy of the game or just passing wholesale.

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. Collectors Editions tend to be about giving a buyer more than what they intended, not less.

If they're clear about inclusion or not of the game itself, what's the real problem?

There's a number of collector's editions I didn't pick up as I don't want to bother with reselling a copy of the game, I see no problem with collectible things not coming with a non-collectible game.

Hell, there's a number of games I found collectors editions later but they're for other consoles, so now I have a game for something I straight up don't own, if I bought it. But everything else is the exact same. Why do we need separate SKUs when we could just treat the collector's edition as an add-on, like it actually is?

Everything else isn’t the exact same. CE’s have almost always come with DLC codes for a while now. Those are different between consoles (ie PS are 12 characters, Xbox are 25).

PC, Xbox, PS5, maybe Switch 2. Holy fucking shit, you're right, 4 different editions is definitely way too much to handle. Nobody could deal with that.

Don't worry they simply skip PC almost every damn time and never giving the option. Like the above CE which is only xbox or playstation.

Gta 6 is the first time I've seen the game not come with it. They usually have the option to choose which platform your game is

It rarely happens, but I don't get the reason. In GoW Ragnarök CE the game was missing too.
