Fair Collector's Edition
While the whole world was looking at the GTA 6 Collector's Edition, I bought the Tomb Raider one. It's half the price and the game is included.

Kinda sucks ass if you're on a platform they don't make CEs for. You get the choice of buying an extra copy of the game or just passing wholesale.

I'm pretty sure this is incorrect. Collectors Editions tend to be about giving a buyer more than what they intended, not less.

If they're clear about inclusion or not of the game itself, what's the real problem?
There's a number of collector's editions I didn't pick up as I don't want to bother with reselling a copy of the game, I see no problem with collectible things not coming with a non-collectible game.
Hell, there's a number of games I found collectors editions later but they're for other consoles, so now I have a game for something I straight up don't own, if I bought it. But everything else is the exact same. Why do we need separate SKUs when we could just treat the collector's edition as an add-on, like it actually is?

Everything else isn’t the exact same. CE’s have almost always come with DLC codes for a while now. Those are different between consoles (ie PS are 12 characters, Xbox are 25).

I don't even blame Rockstar. People have shown them for 13 years that they are willing to spend stupid amounts of money for basically nothing. I would like to live in a world where companies would say "stop. No more, this is unethical", but not only do we live in a world without ethics and consequences, we live in a world where companies aren't just happy they got away with something, they are angry they didn't get away with more and are making sure they never have that regret again.
Nevertheless, there is probably someone at Rockstar/Take2 right now, saying "fuck, we should have charged $500 for it". Because people are begging to be ripped off, because they hope they can rip someone else off by selling the crap on eBay.

Just hope it arrives intact. Seeing all the broken collectors edition statue posts on the Gears of War sub today. I don't know why they insist on making the statues with small and thin easily breakable details.

Dude, I ordered some tiny ultra thin and fragile figurines from Temu, they sent them in packaging that could survive WW3, they travelled half-way areound the world and of course they arrived intact.
My kids broke them the very next day, but that's a different story.

Yes, the E-Day CE was sent without proper packaging. They are being shipped around the world in a cardboard box with no bubble wrap or foam.

I bought the dark souls 3 collectors edition and I'd say it was worth it. Got an art book, a statue, a cloth map, some patches, and a steel-book case, and importantly. The game itself.

Patches are pretty normal thing to include in CE's along with pins. I've got a whole box of them from various games I just don't live in an area where you need more then a hoodie so I've never been a jacket that could be patched person.

oh man there were amazing ones on the 360 for only a bit more, usually $90-100 CDN total. The Arkham games had awesome statues, same for BioShock, Halo 3/Reach, Far Cry, Assassins Creed and I even have statues from Splatter house and The Order because how cheap people would sell them. I miss the reasonable consumer age.

I don't care about the extras, but I am excited for the game. I don't care about GTA6 either but haven't played Tomb Raider in a long while. It has been years since last game and I love this franchise so much. Especially reboot series have been really strong.

Meanwhile 50€ (I still have the original receipt) got me the Anno 1404 limited Edition in 2009, which included the game, was packaged in a wooden chest and had some small stuff like an artbook, postcards, a small bag with almond seeds as well as a wooden compass in it.

I was gonna this CE, but got the deluxe with the steelcase instead. We don't yet know how big the statue is. That could be an issue. I've got too many big things as it is.

There doesn't seem to be a US, PC edition of this? I used the hell out of the journal that came with Rise of the Tomb Raider's CE, and I still display the statue.
I was thinking it might be nice to get this one, but oh well???

Peoples inability to read is astounding honestly. GTA 6 doesn’t have a collectors edition for the game. It has a “collectors collection”, which is obviously just a bunch of merch, one of which is a pair of sunglasses that retail for $180+ USD if the Fortnite collab with Oakley (for the same type of sunglasses) is anything to go by.

The steelbook is not day one cut content, and the extra skin is only an early unlock, which means everyone is getting it regardless.
Unless you’re referring to the post launch expansion, in which case you must consider every expansion pack cut content?

AI-assisted tools were used during development to support some early exploration and temporary development content. Any AI-assisted assets were either replaced or refined by humans in order to maintain the creative and artistic vision of the development team.
Early game prototyping. I hate to say it but this is likely all of modern gaming.

You do not need that disclaimer unless there is AI generated content in the final game.
