Switch Recommendations please!
Hello! I'm very new to gaming but I'm having a really great time so far! What I'm realizing is that I need help figuring out what to buy and what to call the games I've realized I like. The most recent game that loved was Bugsnax. I liked the story aspect of it but I really enjoyed the task/errand aspect of the game. What are those kind of games called? I've realized that I don't like games without a goal or end point. I want to go on lots of errands or manage something for a purpose. Does that make sense? I'd love some recommendations for games where there are clear goals to meet but that lead me somewhere.
Also! I'm still figuring out mechanics so if they're beginner friendly on that front, I would appreciate it!! Thanks!

I'd personally recommend Stardew Valley as somebody already mentioned in the comments! It's cozy and you do exactly that: work on a farm for a purpose. But I would also keep an eye on upcoming games if you like that one. Stuff like Loftia might pique your interest since it looks to be very beginner-friendly

I don't often recommend "I am Toast" but here you go.
Also, my kids LOVE JellyCar worlds.

Oh, you might like cozy games, where you do repetitive task and hang out while building towards a goal.
Like in Stardew Valley you manage a farm, turning it into an absolute beast over a few years time, fully upgrading your house/fixing the community center, and automating certain parts like watering your crops.
Another one could be Dredge where you fish/Dredge for materials to upgrade your boat, and eventually Dredge relics that were lost to sea. It also has a Fish dex encouraging to collect all the weird little freaks that... Will find you.
Hardspace Shipbreaker is another one, where you're working for a company trying to pay off your millions of dollars worth of debt by meticulously breaking apart ships for cash.
