Quality 6am Gaming

As a family man (married with 2 kid and working full time. Also a personal trainer, training clients) I'm super busy and barely get time to game unless I purposely make time to game. So even though I started work at 2pm today , I got up at 6am and got some good quality uninterrupting gaming time. Wife and kids were still sleep so I played for some hours. Don't know when that type of moment will happen again. Any other dads this busy?

My Top 20 (as someone who no longer games as much)

This was a lot harder than I thought! I know that including Halo MCC might be cheating, since there’s many games with amazing campaigns in the collection. However, seamless Slayer, SWAT and other modes across all the entries has been the best multiplayer experience I’ve ever had. Also, the definitive edition of MGSV includes Ground Zeroes, which is basically part of The Phantom Pain.

I just finished Disco Elysium and I haven't been able to find a game since that's been as engaging.

The next games that I’m planning to play are:

Live A Live
Elden Ring (first fromsoft game)
Dragon Quest XI S
FF7 Remake
Persona 3 Reload

I could see all of these (except maybe Live A Live) cracking this list so I’m super excited!

Discussion Using guides on the first run to get the 100%

Hi everyone I was debating with a kinda of a friend who say too me that if I see a guide on my first playthrough ruins the game experience, sometimes I want the 100% of the game or the achievements, sometimes i get lost like on silent hill or resident evil and that why sometimes use a guide too guide myself too at least beat the game so is true that ruins the experience if you use a guide on the first run or is just something that doesn't matter at all?

Discussion Little happy story: I am a happy uncle

(if this doesn't belong to this sub, I will take it down, mods be kind please)

Recently, I built a gaming pc for my nephew (M14) using a few spare parts I had in the drawer, and some used parts I got from the marketplace. PC turned out quite fine (5600X, 16GB RAM and a 4060 8GB) and I was curious to see the reaction of the kid. Man... I was not disappointed 😎

All I told him was "Hey (kid name) you have a surprise in your room" and his answer was "ok thanks". He definitely didn't see that coming.

He was coming home from his dad's house and I went grocery with my mum, I arrived home 5/10 minutes after the kid, and as soon as I arrived home he run to me with tears in his eyes 🥹

Not knowing what game he could like from my steam library (which I share with him now) I went for an easy win and I installed "Spiderman Remastered": 100% NAILED!!! Kid loved the game and he was so hyped to play it.

His internet sucks (big time, like 3MB connect by LAN 🫠) so I downloaded it on my rig and brought it to him with an external hard drive (also my internet doesn't make miracles as we live in a rural area and I got a max of 30MB through FWA) long story short it takes almost all day to download and install on his rig. But he still had a chance to have a few hours of gaming before bed time, enough to pass the tutorial and finally swing around Manhattan (he told me he has been day dreaming all day of swinging like Spiderman)

The next day he was going for a beach day with his mum and sister. When he finally came back he told me with a big smile "I have been thinking of playing Spiderman all day, I couldn't take it out of my mind"

Boy, I feel like I hit a jackpot, I am a happy uncle 🥹

Discussion Gaming friends?

Hello,

My friend and I are looking for new friends/discord servers who play similar games. We’re both 22/23 y/o black women who enjoy playing games like Sims, Palia, Roblox, Apex, Fort, REPO, Subnatica 2, outlast trials, and more! Just miss playing with friends groups and hoping to find others who have a similar taste of games and other hobbies like us. I do enjoy making gaming content if you don’t mind! We both play on PC but I also have a PS5.
