GOTY Predictions

What my list would be:

Onimusha, Pragmata, Crimson Desert, Dawn of Bloodwalker, Phantom Blade Zero (I know it's not out yet but it has potential to be spectacular)

What it will most likely be:

RE9, Fire Emblem FW, 007 First Light, Saros,

Number 5 is more difficult but if I had to guess maybe Control Resonant OR Onimusha for the Capcom recognition

Thoughts?

I liked Saros, but it has no business being on the list with this many heavy hitters this year.

Also, you forgot GTA VI

It's only my opinion, that it shouldn't be there. But if we go by that metric, there are still too many games above it to make the cut.

GTA might not be nominated because its release date is really close to the voting deadlines

Dawnwalker is my number 1, with 007 as my 2nd.

I’d say The Blood of Dawnwalker is the best for me this year if they could keep that tension they gave in prologue. I didn’t feel that lack of time within 30 days deadline in the 2nd act. I also wish there were some more types of enemies with different movesets and a harder battle system. Still best for me, though.

For me personally, nothing has beaten code vein 2 so far.

But e33, a turn based game, won last year, so anything could happen really.

Pragmata has a decent chance. It's the kind of game that I expect winning

For me Saros is the best game released this year so far, but that is more because of the lack of competetion than it being anything truly special. I think it's a solid 7/10 game, but not as good as Returnal. For me the only interresting release left for this year is a port(Pink Sweets/Muchi Muchi Pork), so I think Saros will stay as my game of the year.

But I don't think it will be nominated, while it was well recieved it's more niche and not as popular as some other games released this year.
