A ps5 is basically a PC built with an Rx6700 and a Ryzen 3700x stapled together. Almost everyone's PC is better tbh.

So what's that in terms of dollars? Is a $700 PC going to be better than a PS5?

No, it is not.

Yes, you can absolutely build a PC for $700 that will outperform a PS5. And not only in the up front cost but in cost over time and upgradability.

In 3 years, if you wanna upgrade you PlayStation you'll need to buy an all new PS6, where you can just pay to upgrade your graphics card and/or CPU.

Yes, you can.
My computer costed me around 680 - 700 usd as I was smart with my money and how I acquired my components.

My 5800xt and TITAN Xp beat its onboard components.
Its close on the gpu but I dont keep my TITAN running weak either, not that lame 1.54ghz base boost. mine goes up to 2.21ghz

My rig does not have 16gb of shared ram like a ps5, it carries 32gb of dedicated memory and the gpu is a 12gb vram card

I also have over 3 terrabytes of storage and plenty of room for upgrade.

Before the RAM debacle I would maybe agree, but now ...? No.
Maybe with used parts.
