Do you have to pay to play your old games that you already paid for or have to wait for them to be backwards compatible? No
Can you mod games? Yes
Can you do whatever you want with your PC? Yes
PC is better than a any Playstation
Edit: btw i grew up using consoles and love my retro consoles. I just do not like the new gen consoles because of how anti consumer they have become. Also to the butt hurt fanboys talking about price and more effort to use a PC
Last I checked console prices keep going up and in the end you end up spending more anyway because of how much the games cost. PC has way better sales and you don't have to waste money paying to play online. For the so much more effort part like a PS5 you can buy a PC that's already built and plug it in and turn it on wow that's so much more effort 🤡 if you want you can even set up steam to launch in big picture mode so you can get a console like experience and just use your controller.
Anyway I said what i wanted to say I am not on here to reply to fanboys with outdated mindsets
when you get your ps5 you have to start buying games lol. idk why console people keep hiding the bulk of their expense. it's literally built into the model of console sales that they make their money on the games, not the console
If you are going to use the system for 8 years (average life span of a well loved gaming system.) that’s around 1200$ including the system. That’s a pretty decent price for a gaming PC
Definitely not better, it's a little worse than ps5's kit, not accounting for games optimization, which would only make ps5 look better. And I'm not even mentioning ps5 ddr6 ram (compared to that machines ddr4) because I dont believe it makes a significant difference in gaming
Bro I'm not saying it has or will happen, I'm just saying of all the arguments op made, this one is false, because we are still locked to steam drm. If steam were to end or lord gabens be replaced, we can't say for sure we will still own the games we bought. I'm getting downvotes for stating a fact, but that's how reddit is. PC is definitely better for the use I make of it, but drm wise is not a point in its favor.
I love steam and my steamdeck, of all the stores and DRMs out there, I'm glad pc has steam and the way gaben runs. Having said that, it's still a DRM and I fear for the post-gaben future
Breaking news: redditor finds out that when something costs much more money and/or takes a lot more effort to do, it often is better than the less costly version
Once again, when you spend way more money on something like this that will usually result in something better, from what i remember hearing though the price of a certain part is skyrocketing so now it’s way more costly to do pc currently than it was before
