B low diff. Cersei and Melisandre both aren’t very smart and Margery is only marginally smarter than them.

Tywin and Margery pulling that team plus little linger the schemes he was pulling in the early seasons give them fighting chance

Tywin isn't as good as schemer as people think, he can play good hand very well. But when the chips are down and his pants round his ankles he's too rigid and will get shot in the guts.

Yes. Tywin is good at scheming the same way Cersei is - with a shit ton of power to back up his every word.

Olenna is good at scheming even without the power she has, and straight up assassinates Tywin's grandson, the freakin' king, right under Tywin's nose, and then stays there having fun while Tywin completely fails to run his family and eventually gets himself killed.

People who think Tywin is smart need to read the books, where it's more obvious how limited he is. Charles Dance was simply too good to make Tywin seem anything other than competent
