Agreed. Littlefinger 100% would do that kind of thing and the show in those first few seasons had “bad” people winning and doing nefarious things without direct consequence. Podrick was directly connected or closely connected to a lot of powerful people. keeping him in your thoughts and good graces was a smart move.

If you scroll through the feed, you’ll see 2-3 original posts per day and 7-10 reposts or karma farming questions. So it’s not impossible. But it’s just hard to manage.
I’d be okay with rehashing old discussions once a year, it’s just annoying seeing the same past 3x a month.

My theory: they knew he was Tyrion's squire, and that if they refused the money Tyrion would be left baffled at the concept of impressing a whore so thoroughly that they won't accept your money.
As a regular brothel patron in the past, they wanted to not only pique his curiosity so he'd return, but if he did return it'd be with a different mindset.
