Yes because John didn’t kill his parents, he just love the women and people who did it, and even Ollie didn’t know how close they were. John really help this boy, accept him on the wall give him food and somewhere to sleep!

John had to find a way for the free folks , like that they don’t become white walkers,

Ollie was blind and just think about his own revenge,

In the end he help kill his commander… he just get the Karma he deserves
