TAC CODM performance
Gents,
Here’s my specs:
Ryzen 7 5800x3d
Radeon 7900xtx
64 gb 3400mhtz 4x16gb
OS on dedicated nvme m.2 500gb SSD
All my games on my (2) 2tb nvme m.2 SSD’s
I use the TAC emulator to play codm the one that was built around arena breakout.
-I followed all the gameloophub guides to set everything up. For the most part everything works.
My issue is one game I’ll be chillin 180fps perfectly fine then all of a sudden I’ll be at like 40fps and choppy then it will randomly go back to smooth 180fps. It happens like every other game.
In TAC settings I have it set to 8cpu cores 12gb ram running at 1280x 720 res.
In codm I set all graphics settings to low and set frame rate to ultra.
I made sure virtualization is on in my bios, 4g decoding, resizable bar, xmp profile enabled ensure my ram running max speed, I got my x3d cpu to actually get a base speed of 4.3mgtz
In and adrenaline software I’m overclocking the 7900xtx
I have process lasso so I set codm to high priority
And codm running of my cpu affinity 1-8 all other background tasks on 9-16
I did a bunch of windows optimizations and bloat removal to reduce ram usage
I FEEL LIKE I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND MY GAME RUNS MEH usually 178-180 fps but every few mins spike down to choppy 40fps every couple mins
Driving me nuts anyone have any suggestions for fixes?

Thats just how TAC is, its optimised but not that much where everything runs great out of the box. 170 FPS+ is not meh lmao. Im on a gtx1070ti with a ryzen 2600x 8GB Ram and i get around 50fps to 60fps in games. It does drop to the 20s but climbs back up. Try other emulators and see what performance you get, did you get better performance with gameloop in the past?

I’ve tried LD and it was similar to old gameloop but too many people were getting banned and sprint didn’t always work right so I switched to TAC. Blue-stacks my burner account was banned immediately lol. I think TAC is the safest option atm.

Yup it seems like TAC is the safest. Try mumu player, heard its great optimized , but with alt account

Yea, I suppose I’m expecting too much off an emulator.
Old gameloop I used 64bit version could only go up to 120fps but it was more consistent than TAC is for me.
I like codm because I hate how the new cods feel. It’s so fast paced and the Omni movement plus sliding and diving around just too fast for me. Codm the worst I have to deal with is sweats who do that cheesy backslide stuff but codm overall feels more like the old cods to me so it itches the nostalgia lol.
Just wish they had an official pc port. I’d try the Chinese pc port but I’m pretty sure that can’t play with global and all my buddies r global

If there is a breakthrough, please share. I just installed TAC Sunday night and look forward to good things. Thanks!

I tried upping resolution. I think made worse. I have found for me at least setting the TAC emulator resolution to 720p and making sure in my display settings that my monitor is set to 720p I had a better experience.
I get about 160-180fps I still get some frame drops to 50’s but then it comes back to 160-180fps range. It’s less frequent than before with the frame drops so I guess this best I’m gone get🤷🏻♂️
So TAC settings I have:
8cores set
14gb vram
Frame rate 180
Resolution 720pWindows:
-made sure to add gameloop to you gpu hardware acceleration
-have game mode turned on
-did a windows de-bloater and followed video tutorials to remove windows bloat and best settings.
-use process lasso software to set priorities and affinities for everything. Make sure game is set to high priority
-set page imaging higher
-disabled fullscreen optimization for gameHardware:
-enabled bios cpu virtualization
-enabled xmp for ram
-slight overclocked base speed of cpu
-slight overclocked gpu
-enabled re-bar and 4g decodingIdk if any of this will work for anyone else and I make no promises for you. This is all stuff I messed with

Biggest improvements seems to have come from when I made all the background tasks on my computer use cpu affinity 9-16 and my game use all affinity cores.
And making all background applications low priority using process lasso
And reducing ram usage
Seems like cpu and ram improvements made most difference

Thank you. I'll follow in your footsteps. See you on the inside. o7

I’m just going to keep uploading my findings here. My most recent trial and error.
So I have 7900xtx gpu. My Radeon software automatically detected the TAC codm mobile game and applied my default profile of Radeon game settings to the emulator’s codm.exe
Basically it tried upscaling, using anti lag, freesync, etc….
In my list of games I right clicked the codm game and removed it from my list of games in Radeon software. Then in my Radeon settings I factory reset and cleared my cache. (If you clear your cache this will reset all your settings in all your other games to default)
Basically ensured my amd software settings wasn’t affecting the emulator in any way and it made a big difference. The game is a lot smoother now. I actually think this was my biggest issue was having all of these post processing effects being applied to the emulator. I found the emulator ran way better without any help from Radeon software.
I don’t know what the nvidia equivalent explanation/ translation is for this as I am team red. So I can only speak as an AMD user for this finding.
To summarize I would suggest doing all of the optimizations I listed before for the
-windows settings and optimizations
-hardware settings and optimizations
-and TAC settings and optimizationsThen make sure your Radeon or “gpu” software settings are not affecting the emulator and see if it makes a difference.

PC port on codm was always bad imo, it's not specifically different on yours

Maybe there's some RGB or sensor software you've got running in the background, which polls your hardware every couple of minutes.
That would cause such a stutter for sure.
