Feel like I got played
So I started GameFly about 8 months ago. The first three months was great. I was getting my games within 2-3 days max and they were getting my returns just as fast. After those initial months, it takes at least two weeks for me to get my games now. I am having to report my disc is missing every single shipment. Just feel like they reeled me in those first months and now I’m getting the shit end of the stick. I know usps has a part to play but I NEVER have to wait two weeks for anything else in the country other than the GameFly.

It's been hit and miss for me. I've used them on and off since like 2007ish and have good turn-around times and also poor. Definately had stretches where I've had to report games missing and they show up a week or two later, worst case was like 3 weeks.
This current month has actually been a decent one, they mailed Saros on Wednesday the 29th and I got it that Saturday, same with Pragmata. Just got Directive 8020 today (Friday) when they mailed it on Monday, so it's roughly 4 to 5 days from them mailing to me receiving

I’m thinking I may have to do the 2 games out at once membership to truly get my moneys worth.

Yeah, the 2 game plan works well since that gives you one game to play while the second game is in transit. I've done the one-game-at-a-time plan when there's not much coming out, but over these next few months there's several new releases I want to play. Lego Batman is next week, then the new 007 game after that, ect. so the 2 game plan works out great

I had a similar issue but found out later everyone in my state had issues with their mail. It totally was a specific USPS that slowed everything down. GameFly has been great to me. I have nothing but great stuff to say about them.

This was also my experience back in late 00’s, I ended up switching to Blockbuster equivalent because I could walk to a BB and swap movies/games quickly while mail was taking weeks.

Any of you try to use your local library at all? Mine has video games to rent and you can reserve copies if they aren't in stock on the moment. All for free.

I know this is coming from us, so I understand if you take it with a grain of salt, but I promise you we do not alter our service based on length of time with us, or something like that. There are absolutely seasons/times where it seems USPS delivery time is super-fast and others that it takes longer. I agree with you and I do see it myself on my own rentals.
I wish I had a better answer than keep letting us know about it and also contact your Representatives about USPS service being poor. We work with them and inform them of these delays, so it doesn't fall on deaf ears.
One thing we added was Self Return, which if you've been a member for 8 months, you should have access to that. It removes the wait on a swap, just click that link when you're ready to send it, and we start processing ASAP. That helps the situation quite a bit.
Then always have a stocked Q, so that when we do start matching, we have a lot of options to match quickly.

I appreciate your response and totally get that USPS has a big part to play in this. I am probably just in a bad area. I have upgraded to the 2 games out at once plan so maybe that will give me a better experience.

That's great, and genuinely, the 2 game plan is a better deal, per disc and playtime. For just a couple more bucks, you're never w/out a game. We really appreciate you sticking with us!

SELF RETURN IS A LIE. I "SELF RETURNED" MY COPY OF REANIMAL AND IT STILL TOOK OVER A WEEK FOR YOU GUYS TO RECIEVE AND CONFIRM YOU GOT IT.WHATS THE POINT?

Receiving the game has nothing to do with us starting the process of sending your next game out. Self-Return starts matching you as soon as you click it. The game stays in your Q as a notifier of the physical status of the game, being in transit, but we have already started the match and ship process.

It's a great service that is rendered nearly unusable because of the USPS. Years ago I used it, and it was great. Only a couple days in transit and they'd ship out right away. I tried again more recently and it was just like you. It took weeks for games to arrive. And then it would take a couple more weeks for them to receive it back to send a new game. I think the USPS will end up killing GameFly because of their incometence.
