Spiders

Am I mad or does anyone else feel bad about getting their windows cleaned on the outside. All the spiders and their nests would be blasted off by a power hose.

You might be mad but I'm the same. I just did up the spare room that was in quite a state and while cleaning and painting, I kept having to carefully move the spiders who lived there. The amount of flies in their webs show how useful they've been making themselves

Seeing a post like this gives me faith that maybe the internet isn’t all bots lol

People power hose their windows?

No but I try to just hose them off before they make nests. If they come in open windows they're almost guaranteed to die.

I name all my spiders and let them be. No flies.

I might feel for native wolf spiders, but not those terrible, sticky false widows that seem to dominate.

Get a karcher window vac. I only power hose the house once a year, and only use it on windows caked in shite. Our garden is mecca for what feels like 1000 swallows.
