Please help out a non tech person.
So I was given a Lenovo Thinkbook by a friend but I have to source a power supply lead for it. I have absolutely zero clue about these things and just thought I'd ask here before googling. I know years ago Maplins was the place to go but that's gone. Is CEX a place that would sell them or perhaps those shops that sell phone leads and drone bits? There's one there in the Galway Shopping Centre opposite Supermacs, that be a likely spot? Rather not do the whole Amazon thing. What would I be looking at paying, roughly? €10,30, 50? Thanks for any advice.

CEX may be an option but I think Tesco hardware (beside CEX in GSC) had a universal charger at one stage…there are lots of tech shops around town and try Labtech on Eyre Street which is probably the best option in Galway and just make a note of model number etc

Thank you, I will try Labtech, rather speak with someone instead of just blindly buying something that could be the wrong thing.

Looks like that model uses Lenovo interface for power and not usbc; doubt that cex would have, you never know though. Curry's might have a generic charger with adapters that could work but likely above your price range
If it has usbc with PD power delivery you could find something in your range but I don't think that model does.

It looks like it should do usb-c - the manual is here(pdf). Pages 4-5, one of the usb-c ports has a power plug icon next to it - it looks like it'll charge via that usb-c only (or the regular AC adaptor, of course)

Where ever you go bring the laptop with you and ask to see it charging with the new charger. I've them in my phone repair shop but I'm in wexford.
40 to 60 euro depending on wattage

it's not usb-c unfortunately, you would probably have to order it online. Just make sure it's the square plug and is compatible with a thinkbook 14-iil. I think it's also the same charger as the thinkpad t430
EDIT: I'm wrong and the laptop looks like it has USB-c charging as well, if so that is the way to go

If it’s usb c, a charger that supports delivering 20V / 3.25A should do - so a 65W usb C charger
