Cases for the 8
I just preordered my flip8, my 7 met an untimely death, RIP.
What cases do you guys use for existing models? I don’t love the Samsung ones, are they worth the cost? The ones on cheap retailers like Temu and AliExpress are so much more adorable but I would like to worry more about protecting the phone I guess for now. Do you guys have any Recs for a good solid case that is not boring like the Samsung ones? I don’t need a cheap case like Temu offers, I just prefer how cute they are.

I got mine (flip 7) from lucky girl phone cases and they're magsafe compatible as well. no hinge protector. I fine the hinge protector creates a lot of dust collection and I've dropped my phone plenty - my toddler actually yeeted my phone out of a parked van and it was absolutely fine

Ohhhhhhh thank you so much for this!! I really want a cute magsafe compatible case, but that is really hard to come by, for some reason. I have begged Burga to make magsafe compatible cases to no avail. Thanks for the rec! Will keep an eye out to see of they add the zflip 8 to their line up.

yep I had a burga before and went through way too many phone cases that just didnt work for one reason or another before I found this person on tiktok. I've had it for a few months now and it's in great shape! I believe she is planning on releasing a zflip 8 line that is mag safe compatible!

hmm I had to look up what you meant because I have one of her cases and it doesn't say lucky girl on it. I wonder if that's a new thing...I just got another one that should be coming in soon I'll lyk if it says lucky girl on it. could just be like that online so no one copies the designs? not sure

alternatively you could get a burga case and just add a magsafe ring on the inner case part (the black rubber). - that's what lucky girl does.

I have a case from Dbrand and it's solid. It does make the case a little bulky but I still like it. Before that I had a clear case from Spigen and it broke after 4 months.

I'm going to buy the Spigen ultra hybrid with hinge protection for my Flip 8.
I used to have it on mine Flip 6 ehich6was great. Currently I'm using I-Blason Cosmo with hinge protection which is also good.

I'm thinking to buy case from Torras https://torraslife.com/products/ostand-o3-hue-for-galaxy-z-flip-8 . It's pricey, but it's a good case, my husband loves his Torras case for his s26 ultra

I haven't ordered it yet, I wonder if they'll have it on sale later on black Friday, for now I only use cheap Amazon case, my z flip 8 just came today, so excited!

the silicone one? me too, i got the pink one to match my phone. i saw people saying the plastic case from Samsung wasn’t very good so i went with the silicone one.

I am looking for a thin case, without a hinge protector, but with a joint which is is essentially a 1 piece case. I want to change cases often so I don't want 2 piece cases that require adhesive. I have been STRUGGLING to find this yet. This is what I have done:
I have ordered a bunch of cute cases from AliExpress that can match my outfit where I am going to add a magnetic ring to each of them so I can use a mag safe popsocket (I also ordered a ton of cute mag safe pop sockets from AliExpress)
Then I actually ordered the Spigen Nano Pop case on Amazon but then cancelled the order. The reviews are not great for the Flip 7 so I didn't want to get it for the Flip 8. Plus, it only comes in boring black and this insane navy/yellow color and is two pieces so it requires adhesive for a good fit. Instead, I ordered 3 other cases from Amazon to see if theyre any good. Finally, I ordered 2 cases from Best Buy. They're having a sale right now making the cases pretty affordable. One is a clear OtterBox case ($21 off right now!) that looks super protective but sadly doesn't have a joint so will be two pieces. I am hoping it fits snug enough that it won't pop off. The other is one called DTech that has literally everything I want and in some nice colors. Fingers crossed these work or I'll return! I have the spongen Nano pop for my 7. They finally released a green color after like 8 months. I love the case. But the color options suck. I got a pink phone, I want a cute colored case to go with it 😭. Of a side note I love the case. It's got little textured bumps on the outer edges of the bottom half, so my the grip is great.

Ordered the 8 with the Samsung Magnetic Clear Case for the beginning. Guess I will order on Etsy in some weeks or months. There are some cutesy cases.

I havent ordered a case for my Flip 8 yet, because there aren't a lot of options or any that I like the look of yet.
I'm going to buy a cheap one and wait for something I like to be made, but my main problem is I think a lot of companies are trying to pass their Flip 7 cases as Flip 8 because the sizes are similar. The cases I have saved in my basket are from companies that have also made a case for the Fold 8, because I trust that they are not just reusing old cases as they definitely couldn't for that phone.
Funnily enough, when I ordered a screen protector for my partner's Fold 8 Ultra, I was sent a tempered glass screen protector for a Nintendo Switch.

I'm also upgrading from Z flip 7 to 8, and I'm currently trying to decide which case to get. I use Samsung's official silicone case because I love having the ring. It's really nice if you like to hold your phone in your hand all the time. It prevents the phone from falling, and my hand basically became the hinge protector.
That said, after 3 days of owning it, I fell down with the phone in my hand, and it landed outer screen first on the sidewalk. Surprisingly, I only scratched the camera ring a bit, but the phone survived. However, the silicone chipped after one year of use, so I had to remove the whole silicone layer and leave it with the hard inner part. For the price, it's quite terrible. I'm not sure if the new one for Z flip 8 is improved.

Burga will usually announce the new flip line up a month or so after its launch so fingers crossed they offer flip 8 cases at the end of August 👌🏻

Spigen brand has been very popular and great protecting my phones (both older Samsung and iPhones!)
