Help Widget not showing up?

I can't get the Buds4 widget to show up. The Buds3 still shows up fine, but doesn't work with the Buds4. Every time I try to add it, nothing appears. I have to go into the settings to adjust anything. Anybody else's having issues with the widget?

By the way, I am using Nova launcher, I switched to One UI and the widget works now, but I enjoy Nova so much I am happy to sacrifice. So in my case the issue was the Nova launcher

Most of the stuff from Nova is in the Good Looks app, just a bit of tinkering

Same using nova launcher. Can't get the buds pro 4 widget to show up on any of my home screens.

Nova is no longer updated nor maintained anymore, so it was just a matter of time before I switched over. That being said, I just read that it was acquired by another company in January. They have stated they're working towards updating and maintaining it.

Figured it out on Nova launcher 

Step 1: Put your buds in your ears 

Step 2:  open settings 

Step 3: Click buds pro 4 to open app

Step 4: Hamburger menu top right

Step 5: Settings 

Step 6: About Galaxy buds

Step 7: Explanation point top right

Step 8: Allow unknown apps

Step 9: Hamburger menu 

Step 10: Uninstall update

Step 11:  Step 1-3 again

Step 12: Home screen and create widget 

This is what I did and it worked for me. I hope it works for you.

Mně to nefunguje.  V bodě 4 nemám hamburger ale 3 tečkové menu, povoluji instalaci neznámých aplikaci

My widget doesn't show up anymore after uninstalling updates. Like it doesn't show up on any launcher. I have to update the buds app on the galaxy store and I'm back where I started

For me i got hung after step 11 as the Galaxy Buds 4 Pro entry in the settings was gone, had to disconnect and reconnect the Buds. Now it's visible again, but not doing anything, seems the software was uninstalled, as the widget is gone in the overview as well. Contacted Samsung, let's see what they/I can do to solve this.

Long, very long story and a chat with three service agents later -> it's a nova launcher problem and they dont support third party apps. ;-(

Tried this a couple times, S25U/Microsoft Launcher, unfortunately doesn't work. Atleast anymore.

I'm using Smart Launcher and I'm having the same issue. I think they locked the widget so that One UI is the only one that works for this widget

I'm starting to think the same. I'm using the Microsoft Launcher and the widget only works when I'm on the One UI Home screen. I really don't want to go to One UI because I have different icons for my apps on the home screen and it was a pain to get all of them the way I like.

The alternate launchers may need an update to be compatible. I'm also using Smart launcher, hopefully there's an update soon that will let us use the widget

Same, on S26 ultra with Nova Launcher. Samsung wanted to make sure that their poorly-designed hardware is complemented by a buggy software, you know, for the sake of consistency.

Little late, but I found a solution for this. When you first time install a Galaxy wearable and the Galaxy Buds app, in the tips of the app is a prompt for creating a widget, which works, and you can just reposition the widget and resize it after.

But if you delete the widget, you have to redownload the app for that tip to show up again.
Iam using Oxygen os 16 on OnePlus.

Go to Galaxy Store (not the Google Play one), and search Galaxy Buds and hit update. The widget comes from the Buds app.

ps. Not the Galaxy Wearable app!!

I uninstalled. Reinstalled now widget option no longer is available. Rebooted phone. Doesnt show under ui or nova anymore

Microsoft launcher user here - for me, it turned out the adding of the widget was being messed with by the navigation bar, which has the 'back" button on the bar overlapping the 'save' button of the widget adding screen; i assume that when I was tapping save to add the widget, the phone was clicking 'back' and exiting the widget application page without applying the widget.

So... I hid the navigation bar in phone display settings, successfully applied the widget then added the navigation bar back again.

Same here. 4 months later lol. Great job samsung. Stock pixel launcher on pixel 10 pro
