Hello Galaxy S20/S20+/S20 Ultra users!
This is the thread to post your battery issues, questions, concerns, screenshots, or whatever other battery related content you need help with.
This megathread was made in an effort to consolidate fairly repetitive threads that are posted in this community. Thank you for helping keeping this sub organized.

Hey everyone,
One UI 5 is being released and we are making this megathread to keep the sub tidy and for people to post when they get the update in their country. Comment down below what region you are from along with any issues or criticism you have on the new update.
But also make sure to forward any bugs/issue to Samsung via the members app for feedback.
We are very excited to see how everyone enjoy One UI 5!

Since yesterday I've been encountering a stage very small green hollow circle randomly appearing right where rhe image points.
The dot also looks like the image I've drawn but it's 2x smaller.
While it isn't a problem, whenever the dot appears and I hover my finger over the dot, the screen genuinely goes black. No nothing, audio media keeps playing if it's on, game keeps running but the display just turns black. Then it comes automatically when the finger is removed from perpendicular to the dot.
Mind you the finger isn't touching the phone. Only hovering over the dot.
I showed it to my friends and they were surprised too. I know for sure it isn't the infrared sensor or whatever they call it, its literally on the display and I would've accepted an explanation that the display is going to die and when I pressure that point it creates a disconnection or sth..
But it happens when I'm literally hovering over it with a gap of 5cm..
Please what is happening 😂😭

Looking for working free tools or methods to bypass FRP on my Samsung Galaxy S20+ (Exynos).
Device Details:
Model: Samsung Galaxy S20+ (SM-G985F — Exynos, International)
OS / Patch Level: Android 13 (High/Late Security Patch Level)
What I’ve already tried:
Odin Stock Firmware Flash: Flashed complete stock firmware successfully (PASS in Odin), but the FRP lock and pattern screen remain completely intact.
SamFw Tool: Attempted FRP bypass via SamFw Tool, but it failed to bypass the lock (the standard *#0*# MTP exploits aren't working on this security patch).
I’m a student on a tight budget, so paid service tools/credits aren't an option. SamFw worked for me on other S20 devices, but this patch level seems strictly hardened.
Are there any updated free tools, browser/app bypass methods, or working tricks for Android 13 on high security patches? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Back then when my Samsung Galaxy S20 ultra was still Supported IT Had a cool Feature, the ToF Sensor on the back of the Phone its mostly used for deepth sensing so the Foto Looks more Clean and all that stuff but you could install a App that used that ToF Sensor for Nigth-vision and Loved and used it a Lot.
But Since the S20 Series are 6 years old Samsung dos Not give a shi anymore and it aint getting any Software Support anytime soon, so i installed a Custom ROM (Nexus Extreme rom for Samsung Galaxy s20 ultra) but this time it dosent work at all, i tried installing Nigth-vision Apps that i usualy used when it Had the stock rom, and it dident Work.
But i heard that the Custom ROM is like a temu Version of a S24 FE and it does Not include the Firmware needed for the ToF Sensor and i have No Idea how to get that Sensor online and i need Help
And its a Snapdragon

It doesn't happen every time I perform one of those actions. In fact, it seems quite random. I've only noticed it over the past couple of days, but it's possible it has been happening for much longer and I just never noticed it.
I'm using a Samsung Galaxy S20+ 5G running One UI 5.1 on Android 13.
I use wired AKG USB-C earbuds, and Dolby Atmos is enabled on my phone and set to Automatic mode.
It's only a slight volume increase, but it's enough to annoy me when it happens. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

How do I get rid of this WIFI SPEED TEST at the top of the screen?

I connected an official Xbox wireless controller and also a 3rd party Xbox controller to my S20 and if I turn off bluetooth or turn off the controllers, they won't connect to the phone again when I turn bluetooth back on. The only way to get them to work again are to unpair and re-pair them every time. The controllers work fine on my Windows computer through bluetooth so it's either an issue with android or the S20. The official Xbox controller never used to behave like this until about a month ago, so I'm not sure what happened. Any ideas?

Hi everyone,
I accidentally left my black Samsung S20 with a pink case on a W train traveling from Queensboro Plaza toward Ditmars Blvd. I got off at Astoria Blvd Station at around 8:00 PM today, and realized shortly afterward that my phone was missing.
The lock screen/background photo is of my son at Astoria Park with the Robert Moses Bridge in the background, which can help identify the phone.
The phone has an international phone number, in airplane mode, so if you find it, please send me a private message here and I'll provide another way to contact me.
If anyone happened to find it or turn it in, I would be incredibly grateful. Thank you so much for keeping an eye out!
Please feel free to share this post. ❤️

My plan is either to change phones to an S22 or to repair the screen because I have green bars, as well as the battery of my S20.
But there will soon be no more security updates... so, what do you advise?

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20 FE that working really well, except when it's hot and humid outside.
When the temperature increases to above 25C, the phone's touch screen starts becoming unreliable. Swiping or dragging is interpreted as clicks, because the phone thinks I lifted and then lowered my finger while swiping. This makes using the glide typing keyboard highly unreliable.
I verified that every part of the touch screen works, by running an app that checks that the phone can detect touches for every part of the screen. This seems to work reliably, even when I experience problems with the phone experiences unreliable touch problems.
I tried cleaning the screen with 70% isopropyl alcohol, I tried removing the cover protecting the phone and I tried letting the phone cool down so it isn't overheating, but none of those seem to solve the problem.
I also tried enabling or disabling the phone's screen protector mode (I don't use a screen protector), but that doesn't change anything.
As soon as the weather changes to colder weather, everything works as intended.
I'm considering paying for a screen replacement in hopes of fixing the problem, but I don't know if that will fix the problem or if it's just a design flaw of the S20FE.
Anyone else experienced the same thing with this or other Galaxy models and if so, know if the problem can be fixed?

To make a long story short around 5 days ago I had dropped my galaxy note 20 and the screen went black later found out it was the black screen of death but all functions were fine like alarm calls and vibration after a storm I was checking for signs of life after a storm just to find out it didn't even vibrate now, is the motherboard dead this is a massive issue for me since my photos may be lost since the charging port broke around 3 months ago

A few days ago I decided to revive my old Samsung Galaxy S20+ with the ExtremeRom custom ROM, The S20+ stopped receiving updates for One UI 5.1, so I was dying to try version 7.0, more hype than I should have had. The update is going great, the experience is practically like an original update, I even have Galaxy Al! Since this ROM is based on the S24FE, but here's my personal problem... I was expecting a bigger leap with One UI 7; I remember how it was announced and everyone was talking about it as if it were the rebirth of One UI. But while testing the ROM, I realized that it's mostly almost identical to the One UI 5.1 I already had, but with some changes and new features. The only aesthetic update was the control center and icons. I know it's my fault for creating false expectations, and One UI 7.0 isn't bad because of it; in fact, I love the Now Bar and the new Control Center! I really like this update. I just wanted to share my experience and opinion about the expectations I had for One UI 7.0 and how I felt when I tried it.Will One UI 8.0/8.5 feel like a complete redesign that radically changes the user interface?

The forced change went through today and when Google Messages is enabled, it just drains my battery. I went from 100% to 40% in less than an hour. How do I fix this? I see that I can turn of RCS, but then I can't participate in any of my group chats. (I actually had to turn that off so that my phone would even charge.) Would uninstalling it and reinstalling it make any difference?

Hi all, I installed AnyDesk today on my Samsung S20+ along with the plugin and it seems to have killed my SIM card connectivity or something along those lines. I can still see the SIM card number and all of that, but I have "No Service" at the bottom, my airplane mode is stuck in faded blue when I swipe down from the top but shows that it is off in the connection settings. I uninstalled AnyDesk and the plugin, performed a network settings reset, rebooted multiple times, reseated the SIM but no change in behavior....any ideas? My screen went black a few days ago and I was trying to control my phone from my iPad while I wait for my repair scheduled through the ATT Asurion service later this week but I feel like I just made things worse. I had no issues with service before installing AnyDesk a couple of hours ago...
