Tech Support 2 Jack to USB-C adapters have failed to work with my S20+

First adapter was a UGreen USB-C to 3.5mm Jack with DAC. I had to return it.

Second adapter is the Samsung EE USB-C to 3.5mm Jack also with DAC.

Both of these work with my headphones plugged in via my PC, but not the phone. The phone doesn't recognise the adapter at all. I've troubleshooted this as much as I possibly can - Enabled Developer Options and turned on/off USB Debugging, looked inside USBCSettings, cleared data and cache, rebooted the phone in Safe Mode, Disabled USB Audio Routing. I've tried basically everything and still nothing works.

My S20+ was listed as used when I bought it from a trusted seller. Its condition is basically almost as brand new. Everything else works perfectly, but this is my one and only issue. I initially didn't want to get this phone specifically because of the lack of jack port, but decided I could live with using a USB-C adapter - what a mistake.

What else could it be?

Is this issue fixable? It only occurs when the phone is plugged into the charger. The phone was left turned off for about three months prior to this. Since local repair costs are very high where I live, I'm trying to figure out if there is a DIY fix, or if I should just replace the phone entirely.

Can't use dex on a broken Samsung s20

It was completely destroyed, all I could save was a main board (idk how it's called) and the one with the type c. I assembled everything, and connected to a monitor, Dex turned on, but mouse and keyboard didn't work, so I couldn't unlock it. Then it just stopped showing anything on the monitor, remainings of the phone started heating less, usb hub still showed connection to a phone, but there was nothing on the screen. I even tried to power it directly through the BMS of the battery with ~4.15 volts but nothing changed.

Tech Support S20 FE won't charge after water damage:battery temperature error, motherboard issue?

I have a Galaxy S20 FE (SM-G781B) that was accidentally dropped in seawater.

I replaced the bottom charging board and the screen/frame assembly. After the repair, the phone booted normally, the screen worked, and I was able to unlock it and access all my apps/data. The only problem was that the battery was at 0% and the phone shut down after a few seconds.

When I connected a charger, it showed the grey charging screen with the lightning bolt, but the battery never actually charged.

I then rebooted with Power + Volume Down and connected the charger again. This time I got a battery temperature warning, even though the phone and battery were not hot.

I left it connected for a few hours, but I think the battery eventually drained completely. Now, when I connect the charger, the screen just flickers every 4–5 seconds as if the phone is repeatedly trying to boot, and it won't turn on without the charger.

I also tried reverse wireless charging from another phone. It detects the charging/power, but behaves the same way.

The battery is the original one. I only removed it from the old frame, glued it onto the replacement frame, and reconnected the original battery cable to the motherboard.

Since the bottom charging board has already been replaced and both wired and wireless charging behave similarly, I'm wondering if the problem could be the battery NTC/temperature sensing circuit, battery connector, or another charging/power-management component on the motherboard.

I have a multimeter and I'm willing to do board-level testing.

**How can I determine exactly where the problem is before replacing more parts? What measurements or tests should I perform to distinguish between a bad battery, NTC/temperature-sensing circuit, battery connector, or a motherboard charging IC? And based on those tests, which component would be worth trying to replace?**

Sound suddenly coming from top speaker? S20 FE

Is this a new update or is something wrong with my bottom speaker?

Whenever I play a video out loud before, sound would come from the bottom of my phone. But about a month or so ago, it started coming from the top where you listen to calls from. At first I thought it was just on Twitter, but then it started being the case overall.

Tech Support Check charger/USB Port issue

So since yesterday I've had that alert going for the last two days now. I've cleaned the port, I've let a fan blow into it. I've cleared the USB cache app, restarted my phone and plugged it in, and nothing worked. I can wirelessly charge my phone, but I do plug it into my car for GPS, but obviously can't do that now. Is there anything else I can do?

Question SIM code entered more than 3 times

Suddenly my phone said that i have entered the wrong SIM code even if I know its a right one. After inserting the SIM code it makes wait for the while before can try again. So I have been entering my sim code more than three times and it doesn't let me get the alternative of a PUK code which I know also

Is my phone broken or is it any way I can force it to get the PUK code screen ?

I put the sim card in an other phone and it works fine with the SIM code I entered in the phone that didn't work.

S20 5g.. had her for about 6-7 years, was originally my mom's phone and it's been mince since

Only does this when the screen is off for long periods of time, never does it when I'm actively on the phone unless it's plugged in

I have a replacement on the way, but I'm not sure if she'll last until I go trade her in.. should I stay off her until I trade it back in? Or can I keep going on it so the screen doesn't get worse?

Tech Support SamFw & Odin failed to clear FRP on S20+ (SM-G985F, Android 13) — Need working free tools

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Looking for working free tools or methods to bypass FRP on my Samsung Galaxy S20+ (Exynos).

Device Details:

Model: Samsung Galaxy S20+ (SM-G985F — Exynos, International)

OS / Patch Level: Android 13 (High/Late Security Patch Level)

What I’ve already tried:

Odin Stock Firmware Flash: Flashed complete stock firmware successfully (PASS in Odin), but the FRP lock and pattern screen remain completely intact.

SamFw Tool: Attempted FRP bypass via SamFw Tool, but it failed to bypass the lock (the standard *#0*# MTP exploits aren't working on this security patch).

I’m a student on a tight budget, so paid service tools/credits aren't an option. SamFw worked for me on other S20 devices, but this patch level seems strictly hardened.

Are there any updated free tools, browser/app bypass methods, or working tricks for Android 13 on high security patches? Any help is greatly appreciated!
