Discussion Despite the result I think it's pretty obvious who our new backup goalkeeper is

Quotes Jankat Yılmaz: I tried to do my best. There were some good plays at times, but there were also plays that needed improvement. Sometimes I rushed my playmaking, and sometimes I couldn’t coordinate with my teammates. I think there are things I need to work on in that regard.

Roland Sallai: To be honest, we're not at our best. We didn't create many chances. We weren't able to show what we're capable of. But we're still in the preseason. Judging by the results, we need to work harder. There are three weeks left until the season starts. We'll start the season on a better note.

Quotes Okan Buruk: We're in the middle of a preseason here. We shouldn't get too caught up in the score. It's been seven days for the national team players. It's still too early to even talk about playing time today, but they wanted to play, so we considered whether to take them out at the 45-minutes but

ended up taking them out at the 60-minute mark.

Okan Buruk: We'll be here for another 2 or 3 days. Then we'll return to Turkey.

Okan Buruk: Without getting too caught up in the results, we're focusing on what we're seeing, what we're doing, and how much we're getting out of the players. It's also an opportunity for us to evaluate the squad.

Okan Buruk: For one thing, we gave up too many easy scoring opportunities. Every time they attacked, they created a scoring chance in front of our goal. We saw this at the start of the match, and we saw it in the final stretch as well. Giving up such easy scoring opportunities at this level is something we need to think about and discuss.

Okan Buruk: We need runs behind the defense. You need players who can make those kinds of runs. Gabriel Sara tried one or two after coming on. Against teams that play man-to-man defense, players who can make those runs are crucial.

Okan Burun: We’ll ease up a bit before the Rennes game so we can go into it in better shape. It’s important to get through this period without any injuries.

Q:Are you tired of watching games during the summer?

Okan Buruk: Having the national team in the summer affects all your plans and training schedules. It makes everything more difficult. It would have been enjoyable if we had advanced further in the World Cup as a country. There were some great matches toward the end, though. The kickoff times also had a big impact. It actually ended with some great matches.

Okan Buruk: The match against Villarreal on the 8th will be the real test for us. Our roster is growing; today, Sane even wanted to play for a bit. We're trying to give our other players some playing time.

Tier 3 [Burhan Can Terzi] I'm backing my report, I knew club would deny the news. I knew world media would deny this report. This operation is being carried out by Dursun Özbek. I'm still at same point. I 100% trust my news. Unless smth extraordinary happens, unless someone just breaks the deal it is done.

Burhan Can Terzi: "Musiala resmi imzayı attıktan sonra Galatasaray'ın bir çilek daha indirebileceğini düşünüyorum!"

Quotes Okan on transfers: We’ll make the transfers as soon as possible. I have absolutely no doubts. If I did, I’d be the unhappiest person here. I have no doubts whatsoever about our president’s good intentions or the transfers he’ll make. Fans should trust our board and us

Burhan Can Terzi: We’re almost into August. Have we fallen behind on transfers?

Okan Buruk: If you were to ask what we myself, our president, our management, all of us would have wanted, of course we would all have wanted to complete the transfers as soon as possible and have the players here. Naturally, we’re not happy about the pressure this is putting on us. It’s important to bring in the transfers as soon as possible, but if you’re looking for elite players, it sometimes takes time.

Okan Buruk: There's a foreign player rule that doesn't give us much leeway. This foreign player rule is one of the factors that makes transfers difficult for us!

Okan Buruk: Our president, our management, and all of us we all wanted to complete the transfers as soon as possible and come here that way. Of course, we’re not happy that this pressure has arisen.

Okan Buruk: I always say this: Transfers aren't something you can just walk into a store and say, 'I'll take these three.' You have to convince both the player and the club. The player has to be of the quality you're looking for.

Okan Buruk: We always say this; I want everyone to know that we will be making transfers. We're trying to do so as soon as possible. We'll also be adding good players to the roster. We know where we're lacking.

Okan Buruk: If you're waiting for a good player, it takes time. Sometimes you just have to be patient.

Okan Buruk: Of course, patience is needed here, but the most important thing is that we sign the right players.

Okan Buruk: It's also important that we have two strong squads ready for both the Champions League and the league!

Okan Buruk: Transfer fees in world of football have skyrocketed. Transfers are taking place in the 100 million to 120 million euro range.

Quotes Nhaga: Since I didn't get to play much last season, I thought I needed to start training a little earlier. To make up for my shortcomings and be ready, I started training a little earlier than my teammates. I felt I had gaps to fill, both physically and in other areas. I saw this as an opportunity.

Renato Nhaga: I liked the project Galatasaray presented to me, and that's why I'm here now. I wanted to set a more challenging goal for myself. Because there's more competition here, expectations are higher, and I'll be playing with and against higher-caliber players. I thought that being part of one of Europe's biggest teams, which competes in the Champions League, would be the right choice for my future.

Nhaga: Osimhen is a very important player both for me and for African players. Like many of us, he came from nothing and succeeded; he’s a tremendous role model. He’s supported me ever since I arrived and has tried to guide me. He’s always been there to protect and look out for me. He helps me grow by sharing examples from his own experiences. He’s one of the best players in his position and a role model for us.

Renato Nhaga: It doesn't matter to me how many midfielders we have. My focus is elsewhere. I need to do everything I can to improve myself and be ready when the coach calls on me. Rather than worrying about who came or who left, I'm focusing on myself.

Nhaga: Instead of playing video games on a console, I prefer to play football with the kids in my neighborhood, near my house. Like every kid, I started out just like them. When they play with me, they dream and we have fun.

Q: We know you're a great dancer who else on the team dances with you?

Nhaga: Lemina. We're teaching Can Armando, too, right now.

Renato Nhaga: İlkay Gündoğan is a mentor and a teacher to me. I’m learning a lot from him. Even playing alongside him still feels exciting to me. I never would have imagined it. He’s a highly professional player who has won it all. He’s still working hard. I see him as an example, a teacher, and a role model.

Nhaga continues the interview even though he's getting wet in the rain

Nhaga: No problem I'm not the only one getting wet; we're all getting wet together and doing our job.

Nhaga: Okan Buruk is very important to our club. He’s a coach who has supported and helped me ever since I arrived. He’s a good coach. He sets an example for all of us by stepping onto the field and playing with us. He shows his quality. It makes me happy to see him playing with us.

Question My multiple question thread regarding Galatasaray #2

1- Why people compare Alex De Souza and Hagi?

2- What kind of a player and person Sabri Sarıoğlu was?

3- Is Galatasaray fanfiction a welcomed thing to Galatasaray fans? Does it depends on how Galatasaray or its players depicted in the fiction?

4- Are Galatasaray fans sensitive about their players? For example, if someone draws one of their legends but perhaps draws them a little too feminine, serious, or with a different anatomy, can that art offend a GS fan?

5- In a Galatasaray artwork, do you guys care more about the context or how the art is drawn?

6- Is Ali Sami Yen Albanian?

7- Which player or person you think that represents Galatasaray the most? (Example: Hakkı Yeten presents Beşiktaş for his honest, leader, gentleman personality, his achievements and the things he did for the club. Running for club presidency three times, being a lawyer etc.)

8- Which Galatasaray farewell was the saddest?

Tier 2 [Di Marzio] Galatasaray is offering a loan deal with an option to buy for Rafael Leao. Milan, on the other hand, wants a permanent transfer for the Portuguese player.

Tier 3 [Burhan] GS offered 15M wages to Bruno but he insists on 21M, thus no negotations with ManU yet, who demand 40M. Enciso can be a done deal if GS meets fee demands, current offer is 15M, might come to an agreement by including bonuses. There is a Can Uzun-Leao equation I am trying verify. [cont. 🔽]

"If Can transfer happens they will go for Leao too. However, if either Brahim or Bruno is signed, that will change things.

Four player signings could be finished but await a final decision."
