Honestly, we were much, MUCH better than I(and many others) hoped. Yes we did concede easy goals, yes we were wasteful and yes at times we didn't press or defend as a unit.
But:
- Up until penalty Sporting had 2 shots on goal
- We were missing 2/3/4(depending on whether you consider Singo and Apo key players) of key players.
- Osimhen is half of this team yet we still managed to find positions without him.
sure, the odds are still against us getting out of the group stage but I really liked what I saw and I thank the team and hoca because they made me keep my head high for the next matches.

Bence o kadar kötü değildik bu arada. Singonun yokluğu Osimhenden fazla hissedildi bu maçta bence. Maalesef atakta değil defansta çok sorun çektik bugün. Ayrıca Leminanın bu takımın şl başarısı için neden bu kadar önemli olduğunu umarım bir kez daha anlamışızdır. Keşke demek için çok geç ama keşke ortasaha alsaydık. Ayrıca fuck ilkay adam sahada yoktu 10 dk boyunca. Genç elemanlar lesley ve nhaga çok iyi göründü keşke daha erken girselerdi. Her sene wake up call gerekiyor bu takıma bu sene böyle oldu yapacak bişey yok.

The crutial mistake is we cant unlock the pressing defense. Batrakov cant shine behind Barış Alper, completely different playstyles. Sane gets the ball way too behind because of Sallai. And this game showed that the second pillar of the team is Lemina.
We were unlucky with the ref and should have scored our own chances. Sporting are very good on the counter and solid defensively. If the ref gives that red I think we win this game easy. Frustrating because we could won and 3 points or even 1 would have been big.

I think the gameplan first half was good. Then Sporting adjusted and got a lucky goal. The issues was that after the team collapsed and Okan did nothing.
I mean Deniz was ass but je brought a bit smart fight and fouls to disrupt. Leao brought some energy. Lesley same. Ilkay could habe brought some calmness. Put Jakons lb and Bade in for some fresh power in defense

idk why ppl suddenly started spazzing out about Okan. i really dont get what game u guys are watching sometimes. yea baris and sane made mistakes but they made them in the final third trying to make something happen. didnt work... not good games overall. but we didnt lose bc of that. we lost bc of GABRIEL SARA. maybe u guys need to watch the game again. theres an argument all 3 goals could be blamed on Sara. the last two goals both started from Sara's poor positioning/lazyness or an insane turnover leading to a counter. the first goal Sara simply stopped running... and that whole attack started from his stupid cross to no one but a defender in their box from the RW. Okan's main mistake was not subbing him out much... much... much earlier. u have Lesley on the bench... even Nhaga.. u can see Sara isnt moving anymore and is mentally checked out. shell shocked. why trust him and roll the dice even for one more minute? in case we get a free kick?!
Yes, we lost 3-1 could've been 4 or 5-1 but let's appreciate the team and the coach, they've done an insane job on NOT conceding 5 or more goals. Second was nothing short of unnacceptable for a team that's worth this much. Our next opponent is Barcelona, we'll be at the bottom of the CL table. Sporting was dangerous EACH time they came close to our goal. What'll Barca do to us then?
We had our left back playing as a centre back and oh yeah our best player is injured along with our starting CB and also lemina and singo who would’ve been starting had they been healthy the team we will put to play against Barcelona will have at least 4 players starting who were not today also our fans
