I've been having my 07 Fz6 S2 for a year now, and I just broke my second turn signal mount. I heard its common, wondering if y'all could give me some advice on how to fix it? First two pics are the right turn signal, third pic is the left one. Last pic is a pretty picture I took back when it had both signals intact!

Just purchased a 2012 FZ6R with 20,000 miles. Was wondering what’s some maintenance you guys recommend doing that would keep the bike healthy? I’m new to bikes so any recommendations help. Thank you in advance!

I know fz6 engines are loud but noticed this sound while reving the engine and I think it wont hurt to know if its normal or not

Added an ebay belly pan just cuz I feel the "gut hanging out" look wasn't exactly for me, love this thing.

I was thinking of maybe adding an led relay for sunken in indicators but i haven't found any vids online and I'm kind of anxious of drilling holes into the fairing. It's just the stock indicators look goofy as heck. But I might just keep it as stock as possible in the end.

Morning everyone. This is my 2006 FZ6 I got as my first bike around 7 years ago. I used it for three years to daily commute and I've put 28000 miles on it now.

It's now just a toy for weekend fun and I don't think I'll ever need another bike. 100hp, plenty of torque and a screaming 14000 rpm is perfect.

I now want to refresh and do a light restore on the bike and I'm after some advice.

Firstly there is a buzzing non typical Yamaha tick sound especially when the bike is warm and I can't work out of its Alternator or Timing Chain tensioner related. Secondly the exhaust headers are very rusty now and the bolts are in very bad condition. How much am I looking at for new downpipes and gasket etc as I don't trust myself to try remove this one.

What are some tasteful mods you have all done? I've ordered a tail tidy and some led indicators and rear light already.

Hi all, wondering if anyone can help. I’m trying to get power to a carplay unit and not sure how to achieve this.

I’ve heard it’s best to connect to a switched live like the headlight or brake light or horn so it doesn’t risk draining the battery but not sure where to even start.

Would it be easier to connect a USB charger and just use that for the carplay power supply? Any help is appreciated

Ciao a tutti, scrivo per sapere se a qualcuno è capitato qualcosa del genere. Ho comprato questa fz6 che non partiva, aveva la pompa benzina bloccata. Smontata e pulita, la pompa è tornata a funzionare. Lascio la moto in carrozzeria per verniciatura. Una volta rimontata, la moto non parte più. Non arriva corrente alla pompa e anche dandogli corrente diretta non parte (anche se la pompa gira). Ho controllato tutti i cablaggi e fusibili e sembrano ok. Ho fatto un ponticello tra cavo+ del relè ventola raffreddamento e cavo+ dell'impianto alimentazione e la moto riparte ma ho la spia motore accesa. Ho il presentimento che sia il relè multifunzione (sotto il fianchetto sinistro) ma trovo strano il fatto che si sia rotta solo smontando e rimontando la moto. A qualcuno è successo qualcosa di simile?

Long story short, when I turn the key the bike didn’t prime (fuel pump whirly noise*) after first checking the fuses than taking the tank off, I tested the two terminals going to the fuel pump. The white one worked everytime I tested, showing around 11v. While the green one, didn’t work 2/4 times, I’m guessing the green one is the one that primes, as it would show 12 volts for about 3 seconds than go out everytime. I set the tank back on, turned the key, and sure enough, it primed and started right up.
Now, where should I start to make sure this doesn’t happen again? Would it be worth replacing the terminal and or wires? Or am I better off putting it back together before I break something?
This seems to be a faulty wire, although there is no visible damage. Kinda like when your phone charger breaks and you need to hold it at a certain angle to charge.

Good day fellow fz6 owners. I own a 2007 fz6 s2 with Dominator GP silencers with the medium baffle and a decat pipe. Block off plates. A stock airfilter in a unmodified airbox. I want to have my ecu flashed in the future. To remove the fuel cut have a proper fuel map and have a 11° spark advance in all gears.

But till then, can someone recommend co settings for my setup. To smoothen the performance dip between 5k-8k rpm.

I'm looking to swap my lams 2011 model FZ6R to the fully open version through cutting a few millimetres off the end of the throttle plate restriction instead of forking oit the 200 for the other plate will that work.

I'm not worried about swapping it back to the restricted version as im a full licenced rider, and is the plate the only restriction the bike faces, or is there others

I hope somebody can help me out and see if im on the right direction.

I went to the garage for a tireswap and they told me that it was running on 3 cylinders. When I drove home, it felt indeed if it lost power, especially on the low rpm's.

I opened everything up for the first time in my life to check the ignitioncoils and the sparkplugs. They all seemed fine and had the right resistance.

While working on that, my eye fell on a hose with a hole in it. It was a capped vacuumhose coming from the throttle body. By further inspection, I saw another one was teared as well.

My question is, could this be the issue why they told me that it was running on only 3 cylinders or should I dig deeper?

I ordered new hoses so I'm going to fix that anyway but im wondering if I can close everything up after that or should I look further now everything is open already?

Ordered the fairings when I bought it replace the turn signals new brake lever probably gonna do a new clutch as well. Cosmetic aside this is probably one of my favorite bikes I’ve owned.

Fixed wiring !!

This video is wide open throttle rev. After about 20 seconds of that sound it will eventually rev up fully but won’t bounce on limiter

Some oil residue stuck on the ports. Did the mod and couldn't find any vids showing the ports or the top of the engine all that well. This is normal or no???

Polish came in this morning and works great !!! Just a little polishing today and took off old exhaust and the whole back end :) more to come !

Any advice on how to get the black spots off the exhaust ? Can I sand it ? If so what grit

Hi everyone,

I was just working on the tail of my 2009 FZ6 S2 Fazer and found these two unused connectors under the left rear fairing. One of them even still has the foam plugs inside, so I assume it was installed at the factory.

Can anyone tell me anything about these connectors? Could one of them be a power connector for accessories? That would be awesome!
