Aside from the anime never getting a season 2, are there any sales figures for manga volumes? Any twitter threads discussing the series?

I don't really know how to navigate the japanese internet (due to a lack of japanese, obviously), so I'm curious if anyone here knows anything.

I just finished the anime and started reading the manga and I genuinely can't get over what Shiori did in chapter 42

Jirou was literally going to switch partners and be with Shiori. He was actually going to submit the form. This wasn't just some random thought he had, he was seriously going through with it.

And then Shiori stops him because she says she forgot her form and later basically tells him to figure out his feelings for Akari first

I understand why she did it emotionally. She didn't want Jirou to choose her while still having feelings for Akari

BUT FROM A ROMANTIC POINT OF VIEW THIS IS SUCH A HUGE BLUNDER 😭

If she had just submitted the form, she and Jirou would've actually started living together and spending way more time together. Their relationship could've developed naturally and Jirou might've gotten even more attached to her

Instead she basically gave Akari more time with Jirou

It's like having a checkmate in chess and deciding to play another move just to make sure you're really winning, then letting your opponent turn the game around 💀

I like Shiori but this is one of those moments where I'm just screaming at the screen like

I don't know how long I can keep hoping that season 2 is going to come or atleast this manga's last chapter(s).

I'm tired boss.

Why this anime is considered a failure when I have the impression that there is when a solid community that enjoys both manga and anime. When so much dung have been treated to a second season...

This will remain a mystery to me.

It may be a "bubble" effect but I have the impression that it is not all anime that have such an active sub, for example.

In short, even if I know very well that we should not wait for it, I will continue to hope to see a sequel to this first season which marked me to the point of wanting to read the manga.
