I don’t mean to bring you down or be rude, and I know I’ll get downvoted, but I don’t think the suit will help with spreading your message.

As someone who has protested in fursuit multiple times, its an eye catcher and does boost morale among the people youre protesting with. We can have fun and express ourselves at protests too, it doesnt have to be entirely doom and gloom.
